This item is terrible! DO NOT GET IT! I have a Merkur Futur gold razor. The button snap is made of metal. The problem lies in that the inside snap is not covered with felt. The metal is exposed with burrs. So when you slide your razor in the pouch.... SCRATCH!!!!! You end up with a beautiful scratch running down your beautiful razor finish. They did not take the time to figure that the felt was a great idea, but the boneheads who left the metal snap exposed on the inside pouch were defeating the purpose of making a felt pouch in the first place. Pity......
But, if you must get one, I solved the problem by using a Glad sandwich bag. I enveloped the razor with the bag wrapping it around thoroughly and tightly, and then placing it in the pouch. The bag, as you would figure, will protect the razor from the snap. Et Viola!
