We were very frustrated because no disposable diaper was making it through the nights with our son. These plastic pants keep the wetness from his disposable diapers in MOST nights so he's sleeping 12 hours a night again. So relieved to have fixed the problem, and happy to have a well-rested baby. I was tired of paying so much for disposable training pants so gave it a try with cloth training pants. They leaked, very bulky and I guess uncomfortable for my daughter because she hated them. They didn't work for us. Went back to disposable.Customer Review: gerber doesn't know how to size kids!

I bought this product small, ordered 18 month size for my daughter who is a small 24 pound 26 month old girl with hardly any butt. These pants are huge. Almost as big as the ones you can find at Target. The leg holes seem about right so I am going to try them anyway even if they can go half way up to her arm pits. The plastic material seems fine, haven't washed them yet. Don't understand why gerber onesies fit just right yet these pants are so huge. I bought these for my son who, at the time, was a year old. He'd recently started wearing two-piece pj's to sleep in and was peeing through his (disposable) diapers and soaking his clothing. I tried fastening his diaper tighter, using a bigger size diaper and using a supposed "overnight" diaper, but nothing worked. There was just no way my little guy (who loves his milk) was going to sleep 12 hours and not do some serious damage. I didn't need anything fancy or expensive and these fit the bill perfectly.
They go right over his disposable diaper and catch any "overages" perfectly. I just bought another set (8 -- one for every day of the week and an extra) the next size up.
As for laundering, I wash them with the rest of his clothes on delicate in cold water (yes, with detergent and fabric softener) and hang them up to dry. We've only had to toss one pair from shredding (and that was most likely from wear).
Highly recommended for overnight.
