I'm in my mid-20's and have been dealing with consistent breakouts for about the past year. I used Proactiv as a teenager and decided to stop using it about 2 years ago as I thought I had grown out of the acne stage of life. Over the past year I have been struggling to find a product(s) that is successful in treating my adult acne. I spent some time searching various products on Amazon, keeping an eye out for any products with a large amount of positive user reviews. When I came across this product it obviously had tons of great reviews and was extremely well priced. I was weary of using a "peel", as I had never used a peel before. I've been using the product for the past 2 weeks and am extremely happy to report that I have been breakout free. It took about 5 days of using it to see a difference. The peel burns a bit when you first start using it, but this decreases with use. The burning feeling is definitely not a deal breaker though and goes away as soon as you wash the peel off. I would definitely recommend this product!!!Customer Review: Very good!

I think that results will depend a lot on each person's individual skin type and tolerance level. I have used glycolic products in the past and believe that my skin is probably less sensitive than others. I've done this peel once a week for the last three weeks and my skin looks fabulous. I have a bit of an acne problem and this peel clears up the acne and what little newer acne I have gotten is less severe. I live in a dry climate and find that my pores are usually difficult to open and clean out. Since I've been using this peel, blackheads extract easily and the overall texture and tone of my skin has greatly improved. I plan on doing the full six weeks (once a week) and expect great results. It apply it with a Q-tip, works great and doesn't waste much of the product. I have used much less than half the product. I've also used it for keratosis pilaris on the back of my arms (little red bumps). Doesn't seem to work as well on the arms as on the face, though. I have used this for two months religiously, and I'm kind of on the fence. I am now giving my face a month break per instructions. I don't know if I should continue or buy a higher dosage. My face has cleared up. I don't break up, but my pores are still clogged. If I do get a pimple it does clear up quickly. I have acne scars and that was the main reason why I wanted and hoped this product to work. I don't remember what my acne scars looked like before, but after two months of use I want to say it has gotten a bit smoother. I don't know if it's actually true, but I think it's wishful thinking because all the other acne scars look exactly the same, unless they're just large pores. I want to go up to a stronger dosage hoping it would do a difference on my acne scars.
On my first try, I was able to withstand 10 minutes may be even longer. I hardly felt any tingling sensation when I used this. I probably only felt it once every other week. I did have to use moisturizer, it relieved any irritation.

I got this product hoping to help with dark marks left from acne on my African American skin. I was afraid to try peels because I've heard these peels sometimes can damage ethnic skin but a dermatologist was offering this service in office so I figured it was okay. (I reccomend doing a patch test before trying any of these peels. I also reccomend using vaseline or some other protectant in sensitive areas around eyes, nares and earlobe where I had some irritation). My first application I didn't feel a thing and also tried on my upper arms. I saw no results until two days later. My skin was noticably brighter and some scars seemed to be diminishing. Subsequent applications produced a little burning but not unbearable. I have very oily skin, this did not do anything to stop my breakouts, prevent scarring or diminish my pores. I must admit I have not used the peel consistantly because there was nothing to be excited about. I will soon try the TCA peel and see how that goes.Customer Review: good for regular peels.

The 1st time i applied this i thought my face would fall off, but I was just being dramatic due to inexperience. in reality it just tingles and stings, but after a couple of uses you really dont feel much of anything. I apply this with a cotten ball on my face, chest and hands, and have progressed from 1 min to 10mins. your skin really builds a tolerance to this which is why you should take 6 weeks off after 4 weeks of application. some people do it once a week, others can handle it twice a week. it takes some experimenting. its a great exfolient and will tighetn your skin, make it smoother and more even. it works much faster than tretinoin or topical retinoid/aha creams. it just makes everything visibly better. i recomend washing it off with cetaphil or plain cold water and then slathering on a gentle moisturizer. also, its a bad idea to usethis during the summer, or zanytime you plan to get a lot of sun. ALWAYS wear sunscreen no matter what after using this.
