Customer Review: A useful addition, that should be part of the package

My wife and I each have an GoWear fit Lifestyle and Calorie Management System, but we share the GoWear fit Display Device. We feel that although the display is not necessary, it is useful to have for on the go checking how your day is going and therefore wonder why the display is not a integrated part of the equipment.
The requirement to reset the display to switch to the other armband is clunky.
We wish that more data could be displayed at the display.

I purchased both the GoWear Fit armband and this device and have been using them since the first week of October. While I highly recommend the arm band unfortunately I cannot recommend this device because it does not accurately measure the number of calories burned, being off anywhere from 5-15% each day. I am trying to lose weight and want to burn a specific amount of calories each day so I was intending to be able to use the display device to check to know if I have burned enough. However, with the discrepancy I have to upload the armband into the computer each day in order to know if I'm burning enough calories, making the display device unnecessary.Customer Review: Great weight-loss tool

The GoWear fit armband and display are a great tool to use when trying to lose weight. It tracks your calories burned, your steps, and your activity level through-out the day. You can also go online to their website to log your food intake. The website is a great way to track your progress and to see your calorie deficit (or surplus). When I find myself eating a little heavy during the day, having the display that shows how many calories I've burned, I make the extra effort to go for a short walk or get to the health-club to burn those extra calories. My weight loss has averaged a pound a week, which is where I had set my goal - so it does work!Customer Review: Works Great!

I purchased and having been using Gowear for about a week. The system works great! I am very pleased! The best feature is the sleep monitoring. It indicates how much time you were laying down, in deep sleep and when you woke. The "trip" feature allows you to monitor a fitness event and see exactly how much you burned during this exercise. Having the display is great because you can easily see what you have done for the day. I would recommend the GoWear system. It is small and you hardly realize you are wearing it. The only downfall is the display watch is of hard rubber and not very comfortable but you can hook it on your belt instead.Customer Review: Not Worth It!

The GoWear Fit components are really cheesy! The watchband is made of this extremely hard plastic that doesn't bend or mold to your arm. The display unit isn't pliable as well because if you'd like to place the unit on your belt, the clip doesn't open wide enough. If you are not wearing the elastic band with the unit around either your arm or leg, the display unit cannot provide any information to you. The entire component sucks! And, the money is certainly not worth it! If I wouldn't have misplaced my receipt I would have returned the entire unit to Amazon. You're better off purchasing a Polar Heart Rate Monitor.
