I bought one like this (under a different brand) more than 15 years ago while on business travel to Beijing, China.
I have lost track of the many times I have reused it. You simply place the pack in boiling water for around 15 minutes or until the crystals liquify. Put it away and let it cool, ready for use the next time you need it by gently flexing the small disc between your thumb and fingers. The heat pack becomes warm in less than a minute (the liquid gel eventually hardens into crystals, repeat the cycle for each use).
It has served me well applied on sore muscles, minor sprains, etc. You can put this heat pack away for long storage and it will work as promised the next time you need it.
About a year ago, my niece damaged that heat pack. She left under fire the pan of boiling water too long, all the water evaporated and the heat pack's plastic pouch got burnt and melted. The gel contents leaked out. I have been looking for a replacement until I stumbled into it today here in Amazon.
The only downside is that the $25 price looks expensive. I think I bought this for less than $10, but of course that was 15 years ago and in China too. LOL!
