Customer Review: Ouch! Pulls my hair!

I bought this item to replace an older Revlon curling brush that finally died after 5 years. I was a bit concerned that because the surface of this brush is not metal, that it wouldn't generate enough heat to curl my hair. This, however, was not a problem. It curled my hair quickly, perhaps even better than my old Revlon. The problem, however, is the bristles. Instead of being thin, fibrous bristles like my last curling brush, these bristles are thicker and made of rubber. After winding my hair around the brush to curl it, the bristles did not allow for a smooth release of my curls. Instead, my hair got tangled and I had to pick my hair out of the brush. It hurt! I have very fine hair, perhaps this would work better for someone with coarse hair. I'm returning this item and buying one with the softer bristles.
