My wife loves this scale, it is very consistent. Our previous digital scale would give five different readings in succession. With this analog model the readings are repeatable and there are no batteries to replace. It seems to be rugged, is easy to read, and maintains it's zero very well. Personally, I try to stay off of scales. The hole that my belt buckle fits into is my best indicator of weight gain/loss. Amazon has an excellent price, I paid $30, and with free shipping to boot.Customer Review: Limitations of spring-scale technology

I usually weigh myself on the doctor's scale at the gym, and I guess I had forgotten the limitations of spring-scale technology. The HAP200KD-41 is sturdy, the dial is easy to read, but the reading can fluctuate by 2 lb or more if you shift your stance. Very annoying when you are trying to monitor weight loss that is probably in the 2 lb per week range. I gave up and bought a digital, having realized that digital technology has improved greatly since I last tried it in a bathroom scale.Customer Review: Not Recommended for accuracy

This is a decent scale. You get what you pay for. This scale must be on a completely leveled floor in order to get an accurate number. I have used this scale for a while, and many times after you get on the first time, you have to fix the adjuster dial, and get on again to make sure what you saw the first time was right. Cheap and pretty precise. You better have plenty of room in you bathroom though, because this item is BULKY. Having owned several expensive digital scales and watched them all eventually stop working, I went in search of a good old fashioned spring scale..And found they are more rare than you think. This is the only one I found and I am sure glad I did. The scale is large and easy to stand on and read. No more balancing act with this one.Its easy to read and use.
I would recommend this scale to anyone who wants a stable non-digital scale.I am sure it will last alot longer!

It came quickly and works great. The only problem I had was that it would not zero for me because the dial was stuck. It must have been banged around enough during shipping, so I ended up jumping on the scale and that released whatever was holding it, so then the dial worked to bring the scale to zero.
The scale is really consistent, and I have also weighed myself on a medical scale and have gotten the same results. I would recommend this product!
