HealthOMeter 402KL (Health O Meter) Physician Balance Beam Scale I ordered a "Health o Meter" Physician Balance Beam scale and paid for it by Visa Card. When the scale arrived three weeks later it was not the model that I ordered. Health o Meter was helpful and said that they would send the correct model once IRoams sent them the O.K., but Iroams was rude and told me to "prove" I had ordered another model and said that he (IRoams) was "just a man trying to make a living" and refused to do anything unless I paid the freight both ways, which would have cost as much as the scale itself. Consequently I am stuck with the wrong model. Don't deal with IRoams if you want a Health o Meter scale, buy from someone else.

The Health o Meter Physician Balance Beam scale was a great purchase for me. Finally I can jump on the scale and know exactly what I weight in seconds. Typically I would get on and off the floor type spring scale 5 or 6 times and hope that the lowest number was my true weight.
Assembly was easy, I laid the beam across my bed and made all connections in about 3 minutes. Adjusted the counter balance to zero and it was ready to go. This scale doesn't take up anymore floor space than my previous scale but it does require a little under 5 feet of vertical clearance.
I would definitely recommend this scale! If you are interested in recording your accurate weight for diet or maintenance this is by far the best way to go.

This balance scale is easy to setup and operate. It works just like in the doctor's office, and the height measurement is perfect as well. I like the repeatability of the scale versus my bathroom scale. I can weigh even light things, even less than a pound by first balancing my own weight then adding the item I want to weigh. The only issue I had was that I had to find an area of the house where I don't have carpet. The scale comes with extra counter weights for heavy weights, but I don't expect to use them. The maximum weight measurement without the additional counter weights is 350 pounds. It never needs batteries and probably will never wear out. Zero adjustment is never needed, but it is very easy to do.Customer Review: High Quality - Great Scale!

This is about as close as you can get to the scales in your doctor's office! Construction is excellent! This scale should last a lifetime and your children can use it after your gone <smile>. Assembly isn't difficult. Attach the pillar to the base with 4 nuts, using the provided wrench and hook a steel rod to the base mechanism. Maybe 10 or 15 minutes start to finish. The scale works beautifully and gives VERY consistent readings! Reads up to 350 pounds without any calulations. Up to 500 by adding an additional weight and then adding 150 to the actual scale reading! I am really delighted with the scale. It's everything I had hoped it would be and the price is quite low for the quality you get!Customer Review: Finally a Scale That Works

I have been looking for a scale that gave consistent weights for 25 years. I tried Healthometer spring scales and numerous digital scales that were supposed to weigh you within .2 of a pound. HAH. I would step on the scale 4 or 5 times consecutively and get 4 or 5 different weights. Now I am confident I am weighed within .25 of a pouund every time. Assembly was a snap and it looks like the scale is built well enough to pass on to my grand children. If you are looking for a truly accurate scale that is built like a tank buy the 402KL and your worries will be over. Unfortunately the bowl of Ben and Jerry's will show up immediately on the morning weigh in.
