I placed an order with Scented Monkey on 3/16/2010 for the Combo Pumpkin Potion Leave In Conditioner and Pumpkim Enzyme spray. Ordering the combo showed the price was less than ordering separetley and I needed both... Scented Monkey notified me several days later on 3/18/2010, after charging my credit card and shipping half the order, that they were out of the Pumpkin Leave In Conditioner.
When I was first notified on 3/18/2010 about the out of stock Pumpkin Potion Leave In, after placing the order several days earlier, I requested they cancel the full order. My first e-mail requesting that Scented Monkey cancel the full order was ignored.
I sent a follow up e-mail telling them once again to please cancel the full order, which was ignored until,
ironically I recieved a response late that same day to my follow up e-mail stating it was to late to cancel the order. Apparently they had shipped the order according to USPS on 3/17/2010 after charging my card and before notifying me that the Pumpkin Leave in was out of stock.
Ironically I recieved a call from Scented Monkey not to long after the response to my 2nd e-mail and the man told me the order had been shipped, not telling me it had shipped the day before, and now it was to late to cancel the order.. All of this after they had shipped 1/2 the order before notifying me about the out of stock product and giving me the oppurtunity to cancel the full order before shipping.
To me this is false & very deceptive sales practices...
As a consumer I do NOT appreciate placing an order for a product which I was deceptively and falsely led to believe was in stock when I placed my order. Had I known they were actually out of stock I would not have placed my order for either products.
I was informed after I placed my order, after 1/2 the order was shipped, and my credit card had been charged for the product that it was indeed out of stock..
My credit card account has NOT after 8 days shown a credit back for the price of the out of stock item I was charged for and 1/2 the order had already been shipped which I repeatedly requested they cancel the whole order.... First of all my credit card should NOT have been charged until they were sure they could fill the complete order, I was notified of the out of stock product and had the chance to cancel the full order, and My credit card should not have ever been charged for something that was not in stock...
