Customer Reviews of Helen Of Troy Hotspa Professional Ultimate Foot Bath

Customer Review: Best foot bath I have used!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the second foot bath I have tried, and I love it! It does heat the water, but it's best to start with warm water as it takes about 10 minutes to heat up cooler water. The nubs on the bottom of the foot bath may be a bit rough on tender feet (you could cover them with a washcloth if need be), but for the most part they feel pretty good. This bath is not as heavy as the first one from Brookstone I tried, and the water jets, bubbler, and massage features are wonderful. You can use them altogether or in any combination. I usually use all 3 at once. It is a little loud when watching TV, but you can still hear the TV if you turn the volume up. A remote control is not needed for the touch controls because they are easy to reach with your fingers, although you could use your toes like they suggest. My toes have arthritis, so that would not be something I'd want to do. I have not used the pedicure attachments yet so can't comment on these. Overall, I'm very happy with this foot bath and it helps my arthritis pain.

Customer Review: Hotspa
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this foot spa without the one minute manicure. I LOVED IT! After researching several different spa's and reading alot of reviews, I
was definately afraid to purchase one in fear of ending up with a piece of crap. I received it today and enjoyed every moment of it. The water stayed hot. Maybe a little too warm for some people (I liked it). The jets were comfortable and only blew at the top of the feet (the toes) but when you had the aeration turned on you didn't notice. The only down sides where the fact that the water was below ankles, the accupressure roller foot plate was a bit uncomfortable (maybe I'm just not use to it), and it was a little noisey but none of these were a cause for me to give it a low mark. Overall, I say if you like the fact that the water stays hot and it does it's job then I say go for it. OH! I can't rate the goes from cold water to hot because I didn't try it. I was too impatient to wait. I also didn't try the pedicure attachments yet.

Customer Review: A GREAT foot bath!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This thing is WONDERFUL!! I only paid $79.95 at Sally's for it, but it's worth more!! Unfortunately, I first purchased a lesser expensive foot bath from Bed Bath & Beyond, the "Homedics® PedicureSpa Salon Footbath" ($40), which said it was a "heated" bath. Not only did it not heat, it didn't even maintain the heat. So I returned it and purchased the Helen of Troy Hotspa Pro. Ultimate Foot Bath. It REALLY heats the water, there's jets, massage, aeration and 4 pedicure attachments. It's really unbelievable! I can't believe it works so much better than the Homedics foot bath. I have heal spurs in both feet and stand on my feet for 14+hrs, non-stop, 5 days a week. The ONLY thing I wish this foot bath had was a place to store the extra massaging plates (there are 2 sets). The storage compartment could have been designed a little better to fit all of the attachments & massaging plates. Still it's DEFINITELY worth your purchase....You get what you pay for!!!

Customer Review: Be very careful who you order this from
Summary: 1 Stars

I ordered this as a present from "DiscountsJungle" and did not receive the item advertised on this page. It looks nothing like what's in the picture and according to the instruction booklet, nor does it heat cold water. When I questioned them about it, I was told 'it was the only one they have in stock'. I can return it, but I have to insure it at my expense. I hope Amazon.com is paying attention to this, because I can't imagine it helps their credibility. How do I know which merchant to order the correct item from?
Update: After receiving my return, I noticed they changed the picture on the website, but their description of the product is still inaccurate.
Final Update: I'll give them credit; they finally updated the description. Keep in mind though that the other reviews on this product were made for a different product. The one now featured does not heat cold water.

Customer Review: Does everything it says
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great product. I bought it to address plantar fasciitis that responds well to soaking in hot water. I was worried that the water wouldn't be hot enough. Not an issue! The water can actually get TOO hot. The rotating pumice stone works great -- I haven't tried the other attachments.

The rollers didn't do it for me, but I'm sure that's just a personal preference. I also don't find the infrared heat pad terribly useful.

The unit is a little on the loud side when the jets are running, and when using the "water heating" option, the jets are on automatically. (You can use the jets without the heating). It's not that bad.

I bought this thing because I wanted to be able to keep my feet in hot water for longer periods of time -- like you can at a nail salon. It meets that goal beautifully!
