This tip is too small to hold and I burned myself this first time I used it. The brush tips are too far apart to hold your hair tight enough to wrap around and curl. It gets hot enough, but my hair won't stay wrapped in it. I have long, thick, curly hair. I love this curling brush. It is easy to use and gives my hair a nice smooth finish while turning under the ends. I have several of them for home travel, etc. It is one product that my hair does not get tangled in. It would be perfect if it just heated up a cooled down a little faster, but I can deal with it.Customer Review: Great product for long hair.

Great product. A little too large for my length hair so I purchased the identical curling brush with a 1" barrel. Much better for me. I'll keep them both in case I decide to try a longer style. Watch out for the end of the barrel though, it gets very hot. Also must be aware of the on switch. Has a tendency to get turned off while in use.Customer Review: use of hot iron brush

I am not very good using a curling iron, on myself anyway, so this product is the next best thing. If there is a brush out there that holds the hair a little tighter (like a curling iron) it would be perfect. I haven't found one like that yet, so the Helen of Troy Brush Iron is really a very good one. Thanks!Customer Review: Needs improvement

This type of iron is hard to find in stores. Glad I found it at Amazon.
I have no big gripes about this iron, except that it needs improvement on the
warm up time (takes about 10 minutes to get hot). My hair is fairly short and fine,
and the 1-1/2" barrel gives it enough body, without curls.
