Customer Reviews of HoMedics BL-150 BubbleSpa Luxury Footbath with Double the Bubbles Massage

Customer Review: absolute junk... both of them
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought my first foot bath from Target so my pregnant wife could soak her sore feet after a day of work. I brought it home and filled it with warm water and plugged it in and found that the bubbles didn't work... no motor noise, no bubbles, nothing. The jet massage was a bit of a joke as well, very weak and no of no value that I could see.
So the next day I packed it up and took it back to Target in exchange for an identical model. We opened up the second one and filled it with water plugged it in and the bubble motor seems to be trying to work but only about 5 or 6 bubbles came out of one hole. We let it run for a few minutes thinking it just needed to warm up - no such luck. After about 15 minutes still nothing. It was makiinng some noise like it was working, but not a bubble to be found. The jet massage was just as disappointing as the first one we bought. My wife set it aside and picked it up a few minutes later to find that the water leaked out of the bottom of the tub and soaked our carpet. About 2/3rds of the water leaked out.
Needleess to say we won't be buying any more Homemedics products, and this one is going back to the store tomorrow.
Next time I am going to check the Amazon ratings before purchasing, and probably going to spend a bit more for a quality product.

Customer Review: My mama told me, "You better shop around!"
Summary: 2 Stars

I wish I'd actually shopped around instead of just picking up the only thing the store had when I went in today. For the price, I was pretty unimpressed with what I got. The bubbles are almost energetic enough to feel. The "power jets" are pathetic. The water doesn't stay hot for any length of time. There are lots of bumps on the bottom that are supposed to be massaging, but you're not supposed to stand in the spa, and you can't really get enough pressure on the bumps to be useful without standing. I didn't try the pumice stone or brush, but the spinning massage thing was the most useful bit. However, keeping pressure on it to keep it spinning is challenging while you're moving your foot around to get it massaged. The carrying handle is well done and the control buttons are fine (though they get wet from drips if you're using the central spinning attachments). Given that those aren't the main purpose of the unit, I would not buy this again, nor recommend it to others.

Customer Review: User Error
Summary: 2 Stars

Yeah, it may be easier to just go to the spa. With trial and error, I was able to sort of soak my feet before going to a party. The first time I put to much bubbles, then the water was too hot, then to cold. I have carpet in my bedroom and livingroom and this was rather uncomfortable to use in the shower while sitting on a chair. The product itself working as stated, it keeps the water warm, the massage feels good, easy to dry and store. I do have one complaint, it was very hard to remove the attachements from the center strubbing mount.

Customer Review: Great Disappointment
Summary: 2 Stars

I got this to soothe my over worked and cracked feet. I wanted to add a soothing healing salt to my bath and the foot well is way too shallow, so the salts made the water foam up and ended in a huge mess. I put really hot water in the foot bath and used the heat option...the water turned from hot to lukewarm to cold in a matter of five minutes. The massage is nice but the jet feature is a joke. I would not recommend this product to anyone unless you are really tight on cash...but even then, I would save up for a nicer one.

Customer Review: Homedics Lemon
Summary: 1 Stars

My HoMedics luxury footbath died an unnatural death after 3 months of extremely light use - it worked fine the first three times I used it, then there was a break over the holidays, and I returned to it only to find that the bubbler or massager was dead - the water stayed hot but no bubbles and no power jet. Although inexpensive when compared to some of the other high dollar foot spas, it turned out to be pretty expensive when you consider its working life - I would not buy this brand again.
