This was my second purchase of this product. I was very happy with the first one and unable to purchase it from the original place. Finding it on Amazon was a blessing. It works great for people who have back problems that need the bed rest but still in a seated position. Also, for those who have acid reflux, it puts you in a upright position without having to get up out of your bed and sit in a recliner. Best of all, upon purchase, I didn't have to pay shipping because I qualified for the super saver shipping. It worked out GREAT! I wanted something so I could relax and read in bed before I went to sleep. This is not the thing if that's what you want to do. It is too upright and you can't change the angle to recline. The cup holder is in the perfect place for an elbow if you want a hard plastic object under your elbow while you're trying to read. I was really surprised at the hard lump in the lower back area that's supposed to be a massager. It is so close to the surface and so hard it feels like a rolling pin being jabbed into my back. It is pretty, just basically unusable for relaxing.Customer Review: Uncomfortable

This product is very uncomfortable. The back cushion is very hard and has a plastic lump for the "massage" feature that does a great job of hitting you in the spine. The arms are very tall and leave my arms in an uncomfortable position. The cupholder is also uncomfortable, due to being a large plastic object that takes up about half of the usable space on the left arm. The only upside is that the finish quality seems to be decent.
Great in theory but I found it very uncomfortable and will be returning it ASAP.

I had hoped that I could use this while reading. It sits too upright for comfortable reading in bed (you could put a pillow on it to rectify this, but then it negates what massage you may get). The massage part is pretty non-existent and you cannot plug it in, so stock up on D batteries. I already had a back support pillow but hoped the massage part on this one would do something. Do not buy this unless you need upright support and don't mind spending money for a massager that does nothing.Customer Review: great if you have a lot of room in your bed

this offer you very good support for your back and the arm rest is also very supportive.
you better have a large bed or a convenient place to put it away when you sleep or a long bed so that you can leave it there and put a small pillow there when you sleep.
never use the massage and i do not think the massaging is usefull
