Customer Reviews of HoMedics Ortho Therapy Premium Grade Memory Foam Contour Pillow with Velour Cover, StandardCustomer Review: A Bargain, but... Summary: 3 Stars
Homedics offers memory pillows at a really competitive price for sure. As you look through Amazon.com's listings for them here, you might find that this is the least expensive.
However, they do not last as long as they should. Bringing up a great question: how long should a pillow last? My hope would be that a pillow would last at least a year. My Homedics pillow lasted just that - a year. I then had to replace it because it got Alzheimers: it went flat and forgot to re-inflate.
It left me to wonder whether other memory pillows would last longer than this brand.
Customer Review: absolutely love it! Summary: 5 Stars
I suffer insomnia. I cannot get my neck comfortable. Because I cannot, I tend to grind my teeth, which in turn gives me jaw aches. I have been through various foam, feather, bean bag type and none of them really work, and possibly contribute to the problem of sleepless nights.
I got this one and to my surprise - WOW!. I put my head down on this. My neck is cradled and the proper level, my head is comfortable. I close my eyes and SLEEP. I have used this five nights in a row and slept good for five nights. No tossing and turning.
I LOVE my pillow!!
Customer Review: Decent pillow, just wasn't a fan of it myself Summary: 3 Stars
I didn't like how it was a harder composition, but I think most of these type of pillows have that same consistency -- I like a nice fluffy pillow because I move around a lot, and a hard pillow makes it annoying to move around... it does surround your head nicely if you don't move your head often, and is not for people who like to sleep on sides or stomach in my opinion. I only found it very comfortable when lying on my back, which is supposedly better for you, so if you are trying to learn to sleep on your back, this pillow may help.
Customer Review: Replacing my old HoMedics pillow Summary: 5 Stars
I'm hoping this is the same pillow that I purchased directly from HoMedics in 1997. I paid $60 and it has held up all these years -- I even packed it when I had to spend more than 1 night in a hotel. One thing people need to pay attention to is the pillow thickness: I'm petite and Tempurpedic told me to purchase their small, which is only 3 inches thick. I'm ordering this one as mine is 11 yrs old and may not be providing the support that it used to; if made with NASA grade memory foam, the pillows are supposed to last 8-10 yrs.
Customer Review: HoMedics Ortho pillow Summary: 4 Stars
The pillow gives good neck support, but it's not soft. It's strangely comfortable for awhile and then feels really hard. It's great at supporting your head and neck - just what I was seeking. But, I do switch out between this and a regular pillow.
