I bought this fountain for an office and I am pleased with it and others have commented favorably on it.
It is a brown plastic but it doesn't look cheap in my opinion. The water flows nicely with no splash even on the highest setting. Personally, the way the top spout is lighted when the water comes out reminds me of a flickering candle. The pump is quiet and the water flow sounds like a small, babbling creek.
I was disapointed that there weren't more rocks but that was an easy fix. This fountain is very relaxing and lends a zen-like quality to my space.

While the fountain does what it's supposed to do,
the color in the photo is is not the color of
the unit itself. It's brown, plastic, and looks
cheap. I don't understand where the copper comes
from until you turn it on. The light gives it a
bit of copper color. Also, the stones around the
base. You can't even cover a quarter of it. I
have to buy more.
Overall, I guess you get what you pay for, however,
I have paid less and gotten more.

I couldn't disagree more with the other three reviews. We have bought four of these fountains and love them. Sometimes there is a little noise from the pump, but you can easily stop it with a slight adjustment. You must keep the water level up on them, which may be what the other people did wrong. You can also control the water sound by rearranging the rocks.
Our cat uses it as his exclusive water source so we have it on all day long and they've held up very well.
Would highly recommend.

For $30, you can buy yourself a better fountain. This one was a big disappointment for me. It does look like the one on the picture but it doesn't give you that shiny glare since the whole unit is made of plastic. The rocks included are small, about the size of a penny or a quarter if you get lucky. If you don't care about the plastic, then the fountain might be for you. But that plastic look really bother me and it felt as it was cheaply made. They could've at least spray painted it gold or copper.Customer Review: pretty but loud

I got this for xmas last year and was really excited. I love the looks of it, and I really like the lights. Very relaxing. But the thing gets kind of loud. To keep it quiet, you have to keep adjusting the rocks to stop vibration or add so much water that it splashes out. The vibration/motor noise is often louder than the water noise. I've also had a problem getting hard water stains off. I do still use this, but I am actually on here trying to find a quieter replacement...
