Myself, my husband and all whom I have shared this with at our home and work just love this. The only negative is what has been mentioned before. It doesn't go high enough on the back to take care of shoulders, traps, etc. You have to scoot down for that and that's inconvenient. For the rest of the back it's great. I would hope that Homedics reads these reviews and will take our comments to heart.
Some have said it's painful. If it hurts, scoot forward a bit and there is less pressure. Easy fix. Want more pressure? Scoot as far back into chair as you can and there's lots of pressure.

I have always looked at these and have always wanted one. I used to work at staples and we carried the 200 model and eventually the 300 and I always took advantage of it's free use in the store. I always wanted to buy one for my wife and I as we live pretty hectic lives between working full time and classes at night working on our bachelors, I thought it would be a nice gift to relieve the everyday stress. I saw this on amazon and it was such an amazing deal I snagged 2, one for us and one for my wife's mom. This massage cushion works wonders and we will be giving it as a gift to her mom for chritmas.Customer Review: Great for normal-sized people :)

My only complaint about this item is that it does not reach above my shoulder blades. There is a more expensive model that may have, but I was trying to save a few bucks, so I bought this model instead. I'm 6'4", and the massager does not reach above a point just below the bottom of my shoulder blades. It does, however, work well on any chair I put it on, including the couch. The heat feels great! The rolling massage is not so great, so you may be happy enough and a little less poor if you get a model with just the shiatsu, as that is all I use. I just tried all three, the 200, 300, and 400 models by this company, Homedics. I tried all three and the SBM-300H was better: the massaging mechanism went higher up my back than the 400 and there were more useful settings on the 300 over the 200. I am very particular regarding mechanical massagers so I was pleasantly surprised that I liked any of the above because I usually don't like any mechanical massagers. But, after trying all three of them out and the 300 being out of stock at our local store, I decided to order the SBM-300H from Amazon. Recommended! boland7214@aolCustomer Review: Great back relief

This item was recommedned by my physical therapist she let me borrow her's for a couple of days and I was sold. This back massager is ammazing, with in two days all the back pain was gone and now I am on a routine excerize program and along with the back massager I can go out and play golf, do physical yard work and stand in the river for hours without any back pain at all. Let the product do the work and don't try to apply pressure, expect to have some soreness after the first day or so until your back get use to the action of the massager and you will be pleased as I was.
