Hi all. This sound machine by Hometics is just OK as far as the nature sounds goes, but what everyone says about the brightness of this clock is very true. Much to BRIGHT even on low and you must cover it with something unless you want to make believe your falling asleep during the daytime. I for one don't want to.
The radio plays pretty good probably because it has a wire antenna.

I bought this to use primarily as a white noise machine for my baby. After using it for about 3 weeks, I noticed that the noise will just spontaneously stop. The volume is also hard to adjust because it cuts out whenever you change the volume control. When the noise stops (as it does on its own in the middle of the night), it wakes up my baby. Very frustrating. I am looking to replace it. I also agree that the short loop on the recording is annoying. It is about 5 seconds and you can hear it repeat over and over and over again. I do not recommend.Customer Review: overall good.

I like the clock and radio overall, the ambient noise functions are pretty useful as well. My only complaint is the projection to the ceiling is so bright you can not sleep with it on. It is like having a small computer screen on the ceiling on. It is much brighter than the one I replaced it with. I have to have it off at night, and I have it set to come on for 5 sec when i hit the button, somewhat defeating the purpose of what I wanted it for.
A good clock, if only you could adjust the brightness of the projection.

I bought this clock for my son who loves to fall asleep to sounds. He also sleeps in a top bed of a bunk set so this allowed him to see what time it was without looking down over the railing. The projection on this was ideal, but it lasted maybe three months and then it just died. We don't understand why, but are very disapppointed. The sounds are very good and he still uses it for that, but I would look elsewhere for a projection clock that doesn't break in a very few months if projection is important to you.Customer Review: A Disappointment

We were disappointed in this item because the projection feature stopped working after 2 weeks. We had been switching off the ceiling projection every morning thinking we were saving something- electricity, light bulb, whatever. One evening when we switched it back on the time projected read 0:00 even though the clock face time was accurate. In addition, the projected light was very very faint. We tried lots of adjustments, but can't figure out what happened to the projection feature, nor how we can fix it.
