Customer Review: I thought it was going to suck but.... it's GREAT!!

I asked for a Homedics percussion handheld massager for Christmas but instead, I recieved this. I was really dissapointed and thought it wasn't going to help pinpoint the problem areas on my back. I get these knots in my muscles in various places - between my shoulder blades and on my neck and shoulders. I thought this pillow was going to be a waste of a good gift BUT... I tried it anyway because my muscles were aching. It was AMAZING! I was suprised, you can actually put the pillow wherever you need it, I thought this would work only for upper back, but I was able to shift it around and lean back on it. Letting the pillow knead my muscles. It was really strong too, I had to do as the directions suggest and place a towel over it to make the massage action a little softer for my whimpiness. ;) I literally felt those knots popping back and forth (in a good way) and eventually (less than 20 minutes), I was feeling relaxed and my back was no longer a mass of knotted, tight muscles but more like jello! (okay, maybe I need to workout now, lol)
Bottom line: it was awesome! It's far more versatile as far as location than I thought it would be. And it's powerful! And most of all.... effective!! :)

I am so thrilled with this massage pillow. I have suffered from neck and shoulder pain for many years and this truly works. For the price of one thirty minute massage, I can now have a massage anytime. What I do is lay down and place this beneath my neck. As my neck starts to feel better I move it down my shoulders a couple of inches at a time. After about thirty minutes it's done a terrific job of getting the kinks out.
I do have two small complaints though, and I hope these are taken into consideration for future products. I would like the heat to be warmer. It just doesn't get hot enough for me. I might try using a heating pad before the massage for now.
I also wish the left and right sides could be controlled separately. Sometimes it's doing a great job on the left side but the right side isn't in need of a massage. Unfortunately, both sides operate all the time.
I also love the fact that this is so portable compared to the Homedics SBM-300H Therapist Select Shiatsu PLUS Massaging Cushion with Heat which I also own. The fact is, this small one gets used far more often.

I bought this item as a substitute for a shiatsu chair pad (was almost 100 and outside my budget for what I was willing to pay) for my father. After reading some reviews talking about the bkk-100 being better, I tried finding it to no avail. I thought I was settling after giving up and buying this anyway.
Boy oh boy, I don't know how great the Bkk-100 is vs. this, but it sure does some great deep tissue massage. I love how versatile it can be just by moving it up and down your back/neck accordingly.
One or more persons complained about how the inner and outer nodules are different in sizing causing some odd massaging action. I, however, like the change in pressure it causes from going from the large to the small. The small knob rotation gives this momentary break from the larger knob.
Another positive to this product is the micro suede fabric cover. I own a lot of this type of fabric because it is, for the most part, stain resistant and easy to clean.
In my humble opinion, this product is better than a 100+ dollar chair pad because its more mobile and it has a better ability to let you choose the specific spot you want massaged.

I bought this to use when I need the extra reach not provided by my QRM-400H chair massager. I like the flexibility of placing this exactly where I need it to massage upper back, neck and base of head. The massage motion is great. The flap allows cushioning for a gentler massage or you can flip it up to get a more intense massage. My only gripe is there really is NO heat. I was especially disappointed in this since the QRM-400H has great heat. You can really feel it. This model however seems like you are only getting heat from the red lights and residual heat from the motor motion. Bad marketing. They brand both products with the same language and labeling, so I really expected the same amount of heat. I even went to a store and tried three models before I realized there really was no heat coming from these pillows. I thought I had a dud. After using for a while, I will admit there is a small amount of heat generated when the heat option is on. Just not the same as a chair unit. The massage feature is great, it works exactly as I expected, A+ on massage, F on heat.Customer Review: Little piece of Heaven!

I purchased this pillow for my elderly father who struggles with chronic back pain. He has tried everything from heat patches to electrotherapy kits, for limited relief. This pillow is so versatile that you can use it on feet, back, neck, and just about anywhere that you can get it positioned. It has heat and shiatsu massaging balls that rotate to give a deep-tissue massage. The pillow itself is soft and comfortable. However, if you begin the massaging action and find it to be uncomfortable, just reposition the pillow and that should take care of that problem. My father is very skeptical and discerning about most things, but he loved how this pillow worked. The massage itself might take some getting used to, as it kneads deeply, but the results cannot be denied. This will definitely work out the kinks.
WARNING! If you are tender or sensitive in your back area, this is not the pillow for you. The massage it gives goes deep and hard, and may inflame an already sensitive or inflamed area.
