Customer Review: Great muscle pain reliever

I like this a lot and I think it is worth the price. It has the rotating mechanism that feels like someone is kneading your sore muscles. What I like most is that it stops automatically after 20 mins. This is very important so that the machine itself won't overheat, and 20 mins is the perfect time for me to change to another part or just simply to keep track how long the massage has been going on. I do feel much better after it. Being used to professional massage parlors, I am very picky about how someone massages me (sometimes I would even send that person back to have another person come when I'm not satisfied with the way she massages me). I can say that this is the next best thing you can have without having to go out to a massage parlor, and spending so much for every massage. Another thing I like about it is that it can be positioned anywhere you want: legs, thighs, arms, neck, shoulder, lower back, etc. All in all, I am very satisfied with it.Customer Review: DO NOT BUY

I had this for about a month and then the fabric inside the pillow got twisted around one of the balls. I did not notice that it had happened until the pillow started smoking. I unzipped the pillow to discover that the fabric had actually stripped a wire!! I called Homedics and after about twenty minutes I finally was able to speak with someone. I asked if I could send the item back and get a refund. She said not without a receipt. I said that I would take a replacement. She said I could send the defective one back and get a new one but she didn't know how long it would take to replace. When I asked if they were going to test the product for safety she told me my replacement would take even longer!!! She also said that I should make sure to read the directions as if I had something to do with the product malfunction!!! Will never buy ANYTHING from them again. It is a shame because the pillow did work well until it almost caught on fire.Customer Review: The best thing in my cubicle!

ME: 30 year old female. Threw my back out two weeks ago and now my lower back is in a lot of pain. It hurts to sit for long periods and then stand up. I look like an old lady when I stand up. I needed something for work since I'm here for 8 hours sitting in front of a computer. I've reserched tons of massage pads/pillows and just felt that this one was best suited for me. OMG IT IS! I received it today,had it shipped to my work, and immediately plugged it in. Placed it gently behind me in my desk chair and WOW. My lower back is getting this great massage while I work!! It's perfect! One of my main concerns was the sound. I didn't want people to hear some vibrating noise coming from my cubicle LOL but it's not loud at all! At ALL! Granted it's my first day with it so no complaints yet but if it's like this everyday...wow. Like others have mentioned, this pillow gives a great massage... until it stops working. I had mine for less than a week before the rollers stopped rolling. Before returning the product to Target, I tried calling HoMedics to give them the benefit of the doubt. Many manufacturers prefer that you call them when a product is defective. However, this HoMedics customer service rep was very rude and acted as though I was wasting his time by calling rather than just returning the pillow to Target.
I was able to return it with no problems (luckily mine had broken within the return period) and am hoping to find another great massager that will last a bit longer this time. While I am discouraged by the customer service I received at HoMedics, I am considering trying their new Shiatsu Lumbar Massager (assuming they have worked out the kinks with the defective rollers by now)... stay tuned for an update.

This is the BEST little massager I have ever used. I own three other Homedics products (hand held massager, foot massager and neck horseshoe). The other three are great, but this pillow massager is by far the best. It is very versitile and you can use it on all of those hard to reach spots. I sit at a desk all day typing and talking on the phone. I go home every day with neck strain and pain/aching between my shoulder blades. I have an area beneath my left shoulder blade that knots up and feels like a knife is sticking in it. No other product has been able to directly reach these pain areas prior to this one. It is quite sturdy, solid and you can position it where ever you are having pain. And it feels so good when it hits those hard to reach areas. I agree with other reviewers that I will be buying several of these come Christmas time to give to my family as gifts.
