I bought this curling iron because, first of all, the one I had would turn off every time I moved my hand over the on/off button and I wouldn't realize it until my hair stopped being curled when I would try to curl it. Secondly, this curling iron is great for somebody who has extremely thick hair; it works really well without having to leave it in your hair for 45 seconds just to get some curl. I also didn't even realize that this is the same curling iron that my hairstylist uses. I like the simple on/off switch as well and I like the great heat setting range this iron has, too. And the price I found on Amazon was half of what I see this selling for in the high-end beauty stores. Even though I usually don't order things off the internet, because I like to be able to actually see what I am getting, I was glad I made the decision to buy this. All in all, this was a great purchase and I don't have a negative thing to say about this iron.Customer Review: this sucks!!! DO NOT BUY EVER

I was really excited about getting this. It finally came and i opened it and tried it out. DIDNT WORK! sure it gets hot and turns on but the point of a curling iron is to make curls right?. it only flipped my hair because the second the curling iron let go of my hair it came undone. everyone in this house has tried it on my hair and no one can figure out why it isnt working the box says works on all hair types so why is mine the exception? I KNOW its the curler thats cheap. it is made by helen of troy products which look cheap and are! If i would have known then i wouldnt have wasted my time and money on this sucky product. I am getting a refund and no one can tell me otherwise!!!!Customer Review: Looks and does what it needs to do

I was really glad that I chose this product by reading through the previous reviews first. It is a bit heavy, but the handle is perfect for comfort since it is made out of this nice non-slip material. It heated up very quickly, which becomes very useful when I am in a hurry to do my hair! the only thing that I don't like is how I have to be very careful with the middle metal stand that helps it prop up. It can get very close to the actual rod when trying to put it forward and back (some force has to be put into it). Other than that, It is very easy to use and conventional!Customer Review: fantastic product

I've been using this curling iron for seven years now and it's still going strong. I have long, thick hair, so I need a heavy duty, hot curling iron to get my hair to do anything. This one works perfectly for my hair type. The spring in mine has become a bit loose so that I have to pull up a bit to get it to close tightly, but this is easy to work around and it took about five years for that to happen. Most of the curling/flat irons I've tried have died within a year or so of purchase, but not this one.Customer Review: Amazing

I love this curling iron. I got the 1", and it's a little big for my short hair, so I think I'll buy the 1/2", but it works so well. I'm just getting the hang of using it because I've never really been good with hair straightening/curling/etc.. but I really like this, and it's like going to the salon because my hair always comes out perfectly curled and soft without me even having to use the highest heat level. A+ (:
