Customer Review: Doesn't get hot enough

Purchased at a beauty supply, thinking with 1600 watts they would compare to my old broken down white with teeth rollers. Still using after I think 30 years.. These Hot toos rollers were the same type, less teeth for grip, but that's better so you don't get split ends. Anyway, They don't get hot enough. I heat them for at least 30 minutes. They don't even feel hot to the touch. I put them and poop, my hair flops. I usually keep them in for 30 minutes. Now on my good ole' conair, (which I"m not a fan of conair either) which are old, I get a tight curl that lasts for days if I clip my hair up at night. I have layered hair, average amount still on my head and its a little past my shoulders. I"m still looking for a good replacement and haven't found one yet. I called Helen of Troy and i"m sending them back. Too embarresed to bring back to store because I threw out the box. Let's see what HOT does?
