This is one of the best tools I have purchased in a long while. I tried it based on the Allure "best of" product recommendation. I saw a few of the negative reviews here and wondered if it was worth the hype after all. Yes, it is. First, this looks and feels more like $100-200 hair tools I have purchased in the past. Heats up super quickly.
I have fine, but thick (a lot of it , that is) longish hair that has a little bit of wave (looks crazy if I do not blow dry). Using this after a quick blow dry gives me the look of a perfect blowout--in about 3 minutes! Love it!

I am so happy with my purchase! I have long, thick, Asian hair and A LOT of it. I love the look of curly/wavy hair, but it usually takes such a long time for me to curl ALL of my hair so my hair's usually left straight. But ever since I got this curling iron, all that has changed! With the large barrel, strong spring grip, and high heat level, I'm able to curl large chunks of my hair at a time, which really saves a lot of time. My favorite look is to curl all my hair first, then lightly hairspray it for soft big curls. I definitely recommend this product! You won't regret it!Customer Review: Just what I wanted

I have fine, medium length hair that has a bit of a wave to it. This curling iron helps control that wave and gives a soft, large curl. I had a 1-1/2" curling iron before and although the curl is a little larger with this iron, it really isn't a vastly different look. The size of this iron is quite a bit larger, though, and will be cumbersome in my suitcase. Beware, it gets very hot, I have it on the second to lowest setting and it still makes my hair hot - this is great if you need the heat. I love this product a lot and use it often, great grip, great constant temperature. However, I bought it to create soft big waves (think Victoria Secret angels) but it does more straight strands with half heart shape ends if you see what I mean. My hair is past the bra strap, so I thought I could curl it around and get soft waves but it does not curl the hair for that matter since the barrel is so big. Buy it you want to create a sleek look of straight hair with a bit of movement but definitely not if you want curls of any type.Customer Review: Don't purchase if you want curly hair

I purchased the 2" curling iron for my daughter. The good news is that it arrived very quickly and the price was competitive. The bad news is the 2" curling iron does not curl hair. I guess it is just tooo big of a diameter and because of that, it only gives a very gentle curl on the very bottom of the hair. It acts more like a hair straightener than a curling iron. I would not recommend purchasing this curling iron.
I wish I would have read the other reviews about this curling iron before purchasing it.
