I have been buying off amazon for a year now and never have I been so disappointed in a product. I bought this curling iron because I wanted wavy hair (and also my hair is long, past mid back). I didn't really expect to get a curl out of it because it is a 2inch. Regardless, I was pretty sure I could get some huge beachy waves. This thing wouldn't even wave my hair and I don't have hard to curl hair either. Major disappointment, waste of my money and time. i personally didn't like this 2" curling iron bc the barrel is too wide... if you have hair length that's half as long as your torso, i wouldn't recommend this product bc your hair wouldn't be long enough to be curled with this. since i have thin hair, this product didn't clamp onto it very well... it kept slipping out of the clamp when i turn it. also, the heat didn't get as hot as fast as i would like it to. maybe if you had really, really long and thick hair, this product would work for you.Customer Review: Great 2" Iron

I have to admit, I was somewhat skeptical about buying the 2" jumbo curling iron, I have always use the 1.5" from Conair. But I was pleasantly surprised to discover it works great on my hair...I have very thick, wavy and frizzy hair, that is hard to tame. This product from Hot Tools really leaves it smooth and silky and with a mild but strong curl. I didn't find it difficult or bulky to use either. For the price, you can't beat it. I would recommend this iron ONLY if you have thin hair (which I do). The other reviews are true, if you have thick hair this iron is too big to curl it (even though it gets smokin' hot! I've already burnt my scalp twice!). The iron is no thrills, but it's cheap, so it's a deal for the money. Thick hair types find a smaller curler, I would recommend a 1 1/2", which I had before I bought this one. I'll probably go back to that width once this one blows.Customer Review: Too big and not dual voltage

The 2" diameter is also too large for the length of my hair. Although it is well past the shoulders, it does not reach the bra strap line at my back. The result is the ends are curled but my hair is just not long enough to spiral or curl more than once. I have used the highest setting and the curl only lasts about an hour or 2 despite hairspray, perhaps due to humidity.
Not good for travel since this only works on 110v sockets.
