Customer Reviews of Imak Arthritis Gloves, One Pair Medium (Pack of 2)

Customer Review: Keeps hands warm, unravels quickly
Summary: 2 Stars

I have had these gloves for less than a month and they are quickly starting to unravel. I can sew them readily enough, but having arthritis, I really don't want to go to the trouble, but alas, I will. Why? Well, I like the soft compression that they give and the color. I have the flesh colored ones bought through my hand therapist, but they are so obviously "medical" looking. These can be turned around so that the seam faces the outside so the seams do not press on swollen hands. I bought a small size so that the compression would be better, and I have a size 7 1/2 glove size, albeit long fingers. I have tried to cut "magic" gloves tips off and use those, but these are much better. Just wish they would amp up the seaming quality. Its like buying a pretty decent, not to out of there priced button down shirt and have to re-inforce your buttons by re-sewing the proper way.

I have used these gloves like "normal" use gloves; to drive, to shop, to wear while surfing the web. Not gardening or walking the dog. Go figure.

Customer Review: Beware of sizing
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased the small size after measuring my hand as it indicates on the box. My measurements fell into the small size but my hands go really cold after wearing the gloves for a small amount of time. I believe it is because they are too tight. I will return one of the boxes because I wore one pair but I am unhappy that I must go to this kind of trouble when I followed the directions. I have been wearing arthritis type gloves for a long time now and all of a sudden the manufacturer will no longer be making the gloves. I believe that when I find a pair of the Imak gloves that fit they will be able to replace the other gloves. I love the longer length of the Imak glove fingers and thumb. I do wish they were a little lighter in color because I wear arthritis gloves all day and dark gray stands out a little more than a slightly lighter color would.

Customer Review: Great to sleep in
Summary: 5 Stars

I was unaware of how cold my hands get when I am sleeping - my doctor routinely recommends wearing these gloves at night for anyone with hand problems. I actually sleep much more soundly now. Cold hands are painful hands if you have arthritis... of course you are aware of that in the daytime, but maybe not when you are asleep, but if your hands are hurting you are not sleeping really deeply. I use these gloves other times too as I become aware that my hands are feeling too cold and this feels so much better.

I ordered the small as I have small hands and I do like them but I am now ordering the mediums too. The smalls feel too tight sometimes. You can turn them inside out for a little bigger or if the seams bother you.

Customer Review: COMFORTING RELIEF
Summary: 5 Stars

I had no idea such a thing existed until my husband gave me a pair of these gloves for my birthday. It will be interesting to see how they feel in the winter. But right now, I love how they feel.

When you have arthritis pain in your hand, as I have in one hand due to an injury, you can hold a surprising amount of tension in your hand that only makes things worse.Somehow the snugness of these gloves relieves that tension, so my hand can relax. That seems to help lessen the pain and stiffness (perhaps the warmth helps, too). But they don't "squeeze" enough to hurt my sensitive joints.

Customer Review: Absolutely love them!
Summary: 5 Stars

I ordered these gloves in hopes they would help alleviate the swelling my RA causes in my hands, and from the first minute i had them on it was already helping. I love that I have two pairs, one to keep at home and one for work. Only being 20 years old and already losing strength and mobility of my fingers isn't easy to deal with, but these gloves certainly make it easier. The gray fabric is also nice, rather than the tan medical style ones. Just because you have a medical problem doesn't mean you have to look like you do right? If anyone is skeptical about how these will help, they do.
