Customer Review: A comfortable way to support that injured wrist

I suffer from RSI (repetitive stress injury). In addition to my shoulders, my wrists and hands are also subject to the severe tingling, pain and burning that comes with not keeping my wrists in a straightened position at night. I have tried several different splints with varied results. However, Pil-O-Splint has proven to be the most consistant in proving the support I need. The finger to almost elbow support with a very comfortable inner filling makes this the one I prefer to use at night to support my arms. The only thing I would have to complain about is the wrap-around velcro that secures the whole works. It is not impossible, but it can be hard to secure with one hand without help.Customer Review: not pleased

This product while well made did cause my husband a lot of discomfort because the hard part of the Pil-o-splint pressed on a nerve in his arm. It actually caused him to throw the product off in the middle of the night. Due to the company not wanting to take back a product that has been taken out of the original packaging, we may also be out of money. I did contact the company to see about a refund and the representative said she would speak to the manufacturer to see if a refund might be made. They were very helpful. I don't know if I will get my money back. It is a well made product that I had hoped would help my husband. I was very disappointed with the performance of this splint. It has severe design shortcomings. I have moderate Carpel Tunnel that is controlled by night-time braces/splints. This product looked appealing because it is soft and thus suitable for sleeping. After even just a few nights of use, it actully made my Carpel Tunnel much worse. I would wake up in the morning with considerable pain that lasted throughout the day. I had to go back to using my old splints and now wake up pain free. This is a terrible product that should be removed from the market. It is incomprehensibe that the company actually sells a product that worsens wrist problems.Customer Review: Concept is good... didn't work for me

It is true that keeping the fingers in a straighter position while at rest is beneficial, but I am a smaller person, and the design prevented me from attaining a reasonable fit. The shank runs down the back of the hand, so the softer part of the splint that wraps around under the fingers is supposed to "cradle" the fingers into a relaxed straight position. In my case there was way too much slack. I slid a wooden ruler under the strap on the underside, which seemed to help, but it is still awkward and uncomfortable to sleep in. I seem to take it off in my sleep... so I have not realized any benefit from the hassle.Customer Review: Wonderful for sleeping!

I have tried multiple other splints to relieve my carpal tunnel syndrome at night, but they all gave me problems (bruising, jabbing, too tight, too loose, or just plain uncomfortable). The Pil-O splint was the first one I found that was actually comfortable! Granted, it is much larger than the regular daytime splints I had been using, and that did take a little getting used to. However, I would recommend this product to anyone who keeps being awakened at night because of carpal tunnel syndrome. It was especially helpful after my surgery when there was no way that I was going to wear a regular splint to bed!!
