Infiniti by Conair SS9 1 1/2" Nano Silver Steam Straightner, Red. This product is a pretty good steam flat iron. The only three set backs are that it's a little on the bulky side, you will not be able to get close to the hair shaft, and the max temperature setting is 395 F. These set backs can be a problem with ethnic hair. So don't put away your smaller flattners. In addition, if you have natural or chemically treated hair, please make sure you use a hair protectant to help minimize the damage from the heat. Chemically relaxed hair requires less heat then non chemically relaxed hair in most cases. Buying this flattner will truly save you money compared to what a trip to the salon would cost.Customer Review: It's okay

I ordered this straightener because it is top-rated by Consumer Reports and was affordable. It does a very good job of straightening my hair, but if I get any of my hair too close to the end of the iron it pulls my hair. Also, it is somewhat bulky. My daughter has a flat iron that I've used that is thinner and does an excellent job of straightening without pulling my hair. My hairdresser said that using steam was better for hair so, I do like having that feature. But getting the water into the straightener without wasting a lot (it uses distilled water) is a bit tricky. Overall it is not a bad straightener, but if I had it to do over, I would have gotten the same brand that my daughter uses.Customer Review: Don't even think about it!

Avoid this contraption at all costs. Not only is it too heavy, it won't even sit upright when you sit it down; it just falls over to potentially burn your counter. The tiny, little steam resevoir lasts about 20 minutes which means you have to refill it at least every day with distilled water (I just love having a gallon of distilled water on my counter hogging up space). The little tiny hole you have to pour the water in is a joke as well. The small water resevoir pops out often and also constantly snags my hair and pulls it out when I'm straigtening it. The steam coming out of the thing has burned my hand several times too. Don't waste your money on this one. I'm returning mine ASAP!Customer Review: BEST FLAT IRON EVER BUY IT SERIOUSLY!

ok so i bought this flat iron mainly because of the cool water thingy that actually creates steam and leaves
your hair smooth and silkyy. i swear it really does leave your hair just like it says it would and better!
when doing my hair i used the chi thermal protection just to protect my hair and its a great product
got it on amazon for 3 bucks i would deff recommend the chi spray. my hair is like curly/wavy but i have thick hair! and this
iron did the job for me i only passed it once and my hair ws straight over all this is the best flat iron i have ever used!
A MUST BUY! plus its super cheap here and p.s comes with cute lilttle carrying case =) enjoy

I bought this because of the infomercial. Even on the hottest setting, this didn't straighten my hair as well as my Remington does with 1/2 the heat (or even my $15 Conair) I had to refill the steam thing about 3 times just to last for my shoulder length hair. Instead of leaving my hair feeling silky, it felt more coarse than usual, and caused my hair to flip out at the ends no matter what I did. It's easily the worst flat iron I've ever used.
The only reason it's getting more than one star is because my little sister used it as well and liked it, even though her hair doesn't stay straight throughout the whole day.
