Customer Reviews of Intelligender Gender Prediction Test KitCustomer Review: Worked for us! Summary: 4 Stars
We took this test when I was about 10-11 weeks pregnant. It said we would have a boy. Today, we went to the doctor and the sonogram tech said she is 95% sure it's a boy. I know of 2 others who took the test and were told they were having girls. Their sonograms came back showing girls. So far it seems to be accurate. I wouldn't go painting walls or buying clothes based on this. The sonogram tech did say the test seems to be accurate based on what she's seen with couples that have done the test, but she did say she's had some parents where the test wasn't accurate.
Oh be sure to follow the test exactly. It says to take the first-morning urine. I did not do this as that would have been at 5am (afterall, preggo ladies usually wake up and go several times during the night). So, I just took the urine from when I actually got up. But if you can take first morning urine, you may want to try...I was just too tired at 5am to go through all the test steps.
Customer Review: Results Validated - It's a BOY! Summary: 5 Stars
Was intrigued by this product, so had to try it. Tested it out this morning at 0500 (no sleeping for soon to be third time parents!) and the product was absolutely definitely 100% green. No ambivalence - both DH and I saw the same results after following directions precisely. So according to the test, we should be expecting a boy. BTW - the instructions say to use a "white background" under the test, i.e. a paper plate. Well, if you deconstruct the box carefully, the inside is - guess what - WHITE! So I took the box apart and used the box as my "white base". A "green" tip. (Pun intended). ADDENDUM: Found out via ultrasound today this little stinker is indeed a boy! Was fun to do. As the test advises, wouldn't paint nursery or other "drastic" things based on it though. A Boy!
Customer Review: Will get your hopes up for NOTHING! Summary: 1 Stars
So my midwife told us about this test at 12 weeks saying "it is 90% accurate"! So we thought why not try it out for fun! So we went to Walgreens and bought one and it said BOY! We thought we would just double check so we bought another one the next day at Riteaid. Again a BOY. We did get really excited and focused on having a boy and kind of threw a girl under the rug! Boys names, Boys nursery etc.. So I had my 20 week ultrasound today and the tech said it was clearly a GIRL! Came home and took another test just to make sure and again a BOY! What a waste of $100.. Dont even waste your money and get your hopes up for one gender.. Read all the reviews before you buy! Most of the 5 stars are BOYS! Learn from me and dont waste your money!
Customer Review: Fuzzy Instructions & Lacking Customer Support Summary: 2 Stars
Test was wrong for me. The instructions indicate to shake for 10 seconds, but it didn't seem to dissolve all of the powder inside which made me wonder about the result. The color of my urine didn't seem to change much, and when I wrote to the company about my concerns, the only thing they emailed back was CONGRATULATIONS! IT'S A GIRL! Well, I just found out I'm having a boy-so much for their ability to predict...of course the odds were 50/50 they'd get it right. Be patient and stick it out for the 5 month gender ultrasound...this test makes me wonder if someone isn't sticking Drain-O in a cup. Thank god I bought it at a CVS so I could return the box (not the test of course, with urine on it) and I got a full refund.
Customer Review: It's a scam!!!! Summary: 1 Stars
I bought the test because I read online that it was over 90% accurate. I am a very organized and meticulous person and I am 100% sure I performed the test correctly. I did the test when I was 12 weeks and the result was very clear that I was having a boy. When I went for my ultrasound at 17 weeks, what was my surprise when the doctor told us that we were having a little girl! When I mentioned to my doctor that I had done the test, he laughed and said that those tests are 50% chances since you can either have a boy or a girl. Bottom line: don't spend your money with this silly test. Instead, save it and when you find out what you're having use that money to buy something beautiful for you little one.
