This is an easy understanding book even if you are a layman. But it's easy to access the same information in the internet now so whether it's necessary to buy this book is up to you.
The information in this book is useful but it's repetitive in all the chapters. So, actually you don't get too much out of the book. So many blank pages in this book and u just need an hour to finish it!
anyway, the contribution of Dr Browntein is appreciated. We should thank him for reminding us that iodine is indeed a very important mineral for us!

Purchased this after my doctor recommended it. What a find! So much in here that you never hear from regular education and doctors. And it rang true for me and has it's own scientific backing as well. Can't believe how much better I sleep, feel, and think. If you want to feel your best you should read this because 90% of Americans are iodine deficient and will be healthier, including reduction of cancer risks if they take care of their body's iodine needs. Dr Brownstein's book is the best information I have found on iodine. It should be read by everyone concerned about maintaining optimum health.
I started using 32-drops of the Lugol's 2% solution per day and cleared a skin problem that had been bothering me for six years. During that time three MDs failed to properly diagnose or solve the problem. I wish I had access to this information forty years ago....

I found this an easy to read book and it answers a lot of questions about thyroid deficiency and especially the epidemic of breast cancer and prostate cancer. I have purchased 8 copies for my friends and family as I think it is a very important book about a nutrient that is in very short supply. This book also addresses chlorine and Floride in our drinking water and the hazards they are creating to health.Customer Review: Great Book and Iodine Success

This was a very informative book, although repetitive at time. I've started using the iodine with great success. I'm using it in conjunction with coconut oil for Thyroid problems. I have noticed more energy, my hair is glossy again and I have experienced some weight loss. Thank you for this information!
