Customer Reviews of Jerdon Classic JGL9W Lighted Tri-fold Mirror, 5x MagnificationCustomer Review: not suitable for Singapore use and not for countries with 220V,even with a voltage converter Summary: 1 Stars

from singapore, i ordered 3 pieces of the above mirrors and they arrived in very good condition. i knew from the beginning that i had to get a voltage converter. out of the 3 pieces arrived, only one is working, with the converter i hv prepared in advance. i communicated with Jerdon and they said this product is not meant for other countries other than U.S.A. and Canada. then i asked why they sold to Singapore, and they said all orders are processed by computer. now the money i spent in shipping back the 2 faulty units cost me as much as the cost of the 2 units, but at least i dont have to throw away such beautifully designed mirrors which i have been looking for for a long time. so the advice for international purchasers is that, dont buy electricial stuff.....

Customer Review: Dissapointing Summary: 1 Stars
This was a very disappointing product. I was moved to buy it because of the overwhelming amount of positive reviews. Costumer reviews hardly ever lead me astray but they did this time. The mirror is very small, too small really to say that you can use the mirrored flaps. The different light settings are indeed different but they are so dull they didn't really help me to see my face better (and I'm 27, I don't have a vision problem, I don't even wear glasses). The workmanship is also very poor, it feels like a little girl toy. Other people have mentioned that it takes a while for the light to warm up and turn on, it's true but that would've been nothing if not for all the other things that are wrong with it. Unfortunately I had ordered it already when I ran into it at Bed Bath and Beyond, I sent it back without opening it. Go check it out in person before you order. I'm going with a Rialto instead.
Customer Review: perfect on so-o many levels... Summary: 5 Stars
I love LOVE this mirror!!
Everything about it is a win-win...from the 4 different light choices, the magnifier on the reverse side, the 3-way mirror effect (one main, two adjustable sides)...I love everything about it!
I can finally put on my makeup without having to wonder if it is too much, not enough, just right?? Since I have started using this mirror I have received so many compliments that I am convinced that a really good mirror is the true secret to applying makeup properly, plucking my eyebrows (using the mag. side), even putting on moisturizer @ night ~ everything one could possibly want a makeup mirror for ~ it is all here!!
I highly recommend this item; as a matter of fact, I intend to order 7 more, 1 for each of my 6 daughters & my daughter-in-law, for Christmas gifts! More than one of them has already let it be known that they would love to have one like mine!! :)
Customer Review: Disappointing and Defective Design Summary: 1 Stars
This product was such a disappointment. As soon as I received and opened it I noticed an immediate problem. As several other reviewers mentioned the lever that controls the light settings is very difficult to move. I couldn't even get the lever to move through all of the settings. It ended up popping off with very little effort applied.
The different light settings are also poorly designed. The two vertical lights on either side of the center mirror have colored plastic lining that spins around when the light setting lever is moved. Depending on the different settings a different color moves over the lights. It was terrible. None of the setting were appropriate and not conducive to applying makeup. Mine must have been damaged in the shipping as well, because the colored plastic in the right light was off kilter.
I would not recommend this product!!!
Customer Review: By golly I can see myself! Summary: 4 Stars
I had an old Windmere that finally bit the dust since I couldn't find replacement bulbs. So after the last one went out I decided to go to Walmart to find another one. I had no idea it would be such a chore to find a decent make-up mirror. I bought several and for Pete's sake I couldn't see myself. I'm not sure if the lighting was supposed to be for the midnight hour but it sure is hard to get a straight line of eyeliner when you can't even see your own face. So anyway, I bought this one and although it's not quite as bright as my Windmere (R.I.P.) I can at least recognize myself. So of all the lighted mirrors I tried this one meets my satisfaction. I just use the daylight setting and it works fine. The other settings remind me of Happy Hour lighting at the senior center. Hopefully it will last long enough that I'll eventually need that. I would recommend.
