My wife wanted a lighted makeup mirror for her birthday. I went to Target and bought a very expensive "halo" light makeup mirror. She said that the light was too dim and she just wanted one of the old fashioned kind like Conair used to make.
I looked at every store and department store and nobody carries those any longer. So I went to Amazon and read the reviews on this mirror. There were a couple of bad reviews that said it didn't turn on after a couple of days, then I read all the other good reviews and decided to give it a try.
My wife is delighted with the mirror. The other reviews are correct that you have to hold in the on/off button for about 3 seconds for the lights to come on. But they are nice and bright. It was just what she was looking for. She has been using it over a month now and is still very happy with the mirror.

I had owned a mirror for a couple of years just like this. Same style. Same Company, Jerdon. Well one day it just died. We would leave that thing on for hours at a time some nights. Lasted through many hours daily. So I decided to buy the same one again. It came in the mail and the only difference was the light switch. I used to have to hold mine down till the lights came on. The new one just goes on with one flip . That was great. The bad thing was it started blinking the first day. So Amazon sent me a new one. We have had the new one for some time now and it is great. The other one was a lemon. This one is perfect. I would never get a different one because the lights on this are very bright which i need when applying my eye makeup. My husband even uses it to cut his mustache!!! I would highly recommend this mirror, and would definitely by this brand again.Customer Review: Great Make -up Mirror

I purchased this product because I was not satisfied with the lighting on my current make-up mirror. After much searching for another style mirror, I came across this one. The style is more like the older ones I used to have and I really liked and used for many years. Initially after reading the reviews, I was hesitant but after reading the review by a husband of a woman who purchased this I was sold. His wife was complaining it was not bright enough, but he told her she just had to hold the on button for a few seconds longer. I followed his lead and did what he said to do and it works. The different shades of lighting are perfect so when I choose office. my make-up looks the same at home as at work. The magnification is awesome, and there is a convenient plug in for other accessories.
I am so glad I found this product on Amazon!

When a similar make-up mirrow that I had had for years finally died on me last year, I went out searching for a replacement. I tried the new style oval ones. They were just awful. The mirror was too small and the lighting was depressing. Then I found this one. It's wonderful. You get a decent sized front mirror and two side mirrors that are especially helpful to someone like me who is very myopic. The lighting somehow manages to be extremely flattering (which helps you feel better about yourself) while at the same time shows everything you need to see and possibly alter a bit.
I'm sorry about the reviewer who had a problem with the lights, but that was probably just something that went wrong with one mirror. Mine is a treasure and infinitely superior to the newer style ones out there today.

I have had my mirror for about 1 month and have enjoyed having it. I like the fact that it has an plug on the front so I can plug my curling iron up. It is compact and easily able to be taken on a trip. My only complaints are that the lights seems funny to me. It has the standing day,office,evening, home settings, but it doesnt seems to go all the way over into the day position. so the lenses aren't the same on both sides (one is green and the other purple). Now maybe it's intended to do this, but I am suspicious that's it's not b/c I can't get the switch all the way over to "day". My other complaint is that the side mirrors seem too small-but hey it's portable so what can I expect- I can't take a giant vanity set with me on vacation. I would purchase it again still. It serves my beautificaiton needs:-)
