I would like to give it a 0 star if possible. It does not mash the most cooked veggies.
Buy something else even if it costs more.

Pros
- Easy to clean
- Small for travel
- Worked great with green beans (have not tried it yet with other vegetables/fruits)
Cons
- My electric grinder/food mill is less hand work
- Only good for small quantities
I was hesitant about buying due to some of the reviews but I needed something small to make baby food for an upcoming trip and this works great for that purpose. I think I will also use it at home when just need to prepare a small portion.

Had to have a baby "food processor" with us on cruise ship (where no electric "appliances" allowed). Requires a bit of upper body strength to use (especially with meat). Turning the screen piece to open and reload with more food required a fork--needed one fork tine in an outer hole for leverage.
Does the trick, but if not in situation where there are restrictions (i.e., no appliances allowed or no electrical sockets), a small electric food processor is better choice.

The food mill is very convinient if you are feeding your baby bland table food and just wish to grind up enough for one meal. But it is a horrible pain to clean the top handle piece that is connected to the strainer, it is almost impossible to remove and has no leverage to help get it off.Customer Review: Hate it!

I was excited to try this after receiving it as a shower gift. I remember watching my mom use this kind of grinder over ten years ago for my brother. When I finally tried this product, I was very disappointed. The blade isn't sharp at all, and it is very difficult for any food to come through the plastic grate. I end up just squeezing the life out of the food. Even macaroni and cheese had a hard time. I don't know why this has so many good reviews. Maybe those people have the version with the metal grate that actually works.
