Customer Review: Decent, but not the best for feet

I love kinesio tape, and with perpetually sprained ankles, I use it a lot. When I ran out of my old tape (purchased in Germany, couldn't find it online), I ordered this on Amazon.
Good:
- Strong tape
- Good flexibility; not too loose or too tight
- Easy to tear backing without stretching the tape itself (makes it easier to apply)
- Probably most important--IT WORKS. If you are reluctant to buy kinesio tape at all, just order one role and try it out. It is definitely worth the cost for the almost immediate relief. (However, I should also point out that it's best to have a doctor or chiropracter do your first few applications, so you know exactly where the tape is supposed to be placed on your injury. Some people will even tell you that ONLY a doctor or chiropractor should apply this, but those people are probably made of money as well.)
Bad:
- If you want to use this on your feet, and you shower at least once a day, it won't last as long as it claims. I purposely ordered the water resistent tape because it was supposed to be better for use on feet, but it only lasts 2-3 days before I need to change it. The other tape I was using would last for 5-6.
Overall, good kinesio tape, but I will keep looking for a better water-resistent variety.
Customer Review: Kinesio tape works great on my chest truncal lymphedema

Kinesio tape totally improved my chest / truncal lymphedema. I had a relatively minor case, but it was bothering me and I've been working very hard to get the swelling down. My breast was hard and swollen - I have tried MLD, herbal supplements, etc and nothing has gotten the swelling under control.
My chiropractor put kinesio tape on my breast and chest area and it is amazing how much better it feels. The swelling is way down and the hardness and thickness is much reduced. He is putting this on me once a week with two pieces - one from my breast up toward my collar bone and one piece from my breast across to my right side chest. If you are suffering from lymphedema and haven't tried kinesio tape, I would highly recommend it!
Some tips if you are not going to an expert to get this applied:
* The adhesive is heat-activated. So to get it to stick well, you need to rub the tape on the skin a bit. I can get it to stay on for a week.
* Cut the tape so that each piece has a solid area at one end and then four little strips on the other end where the lymphedema is.
* Place the solid end at the terminus point and then stretch each little piece down and across the area. Make sure to rub each strip so that it stays attached.

The kineseo tape seems to do just what it claims. I am a 63-year old jogger (usually 4-6 miles at a time three times a week, occasionally longer) with very imperfect biomechanics and have had persistently tender knees for a long time. I began using the kineseo tape in place of Cho-Pat straps on my knees to provide some tension on the ligament just below the patella. It seems to achieve the same effect as the Cho-Pat without the constricting band across the back of the knee. Since using the kineseo taping, my knees have been quite tolerable and generally free of any appreciable soreness. I even completed a marathon two weeks age. It was run pretty slowly but without any noticeable soreness either during or after the marathon. I was back to my normal jogging three days after the marathon without any unusual aches. How much of that is a result of the taping, I cannot be certain, but I feel it definitely makes a big difference in my case. I found that the black-colored tape seems to adhere better on sweaty or rainy days, so that is what I have been using. I remain a little self-conscious about being the jogging geezer with visible black stripes on his knees, but they seem to work too well to worry about the cosmetics.Customer Review: The magic of Kinesio Tex tape!

If you need a tape that you can wear for extended periods of time and comes off comfortably when you're done--this is the tape for you! In fact in the chiropractor's office it was nicknamed "the gorilla tape" because it didn't pull off all your body hair when removing it. Beige tape is what I saw utilized the most there.Kinesio Tex Tape - Water Resistant Beige, 2" x 5.5 yd. Single Roll for Kinesio Taping and I give the beige 4 stars--only because when it gets wet it tends to loosen and feel clammy. What I found works even better than beige is the black tape. The black tape stays on through showers and can be worn for a few days before retaping. Very comfortable to wear! This tape worked well for my son's sprained ankle in football. Taped it according to videos on the web and within a week his ankle was almost 100%, and in two weeks there was no residual pain. I have trouble with a knee swelling after running. Taped my knee according to web videos and it helped with the pain and the recovery time. It is not a heavy duty support tape but it is very versatile in the way you can stretch it tighter for some parts of the tape job and leave it unstretched for other parts. I am not sure about the claims of more rapid healing due to it holding the skin off the muscles for increased blood flow but it did help my knee pain and it did help my son's ankle recovery time. I would definitely look on the web at the videos of trainers to see the proper application technique as you need to stretch the tape at some points as well as flex or straigthen the joint being taped. We have added this to our kit of sports equipment and bought it for our football team as well.
