Customer Review: good for travel but has disadvantages over gel/foam

Shaving gets really boring, so it's nice to use
something different once in a while. I've used
this product for many years. If smells good, is
great for travel, and provides for a good shave.
However, after using it for a while I tend to go
back to gel. This oil doesn't soften the beard
as much as a gel or foam, making shaving less
comfortable. Also, it doesn't rinse off the
blade as well as gel or foam. Summary: great for
travel and for a break in the old routine.
I've tried other varieties of King of Shaves
shaving oils and feel the same about all of them.

I've been hearing more and more about using shaving oils, but I was skeptical, thinking it was just another hype being force-fed to the buying public. But, on a whim I decided to get a bottle, folllowed the directions.....and I don't think I'll ever use another shave gel or cream ever again! My face has never felt smoother, it is very easy to trim around beards/moustaches, no lather to clean up after, and my face feels smooth all day long. I have a course beard, it's odd not feeling any "5 o'clock shadow" at the end of the day. I shave my head (and face) about three times a week, and therefore I have an incentive to try just about every razor, lubricant, and aftershave product on the market in an attempt to find the best combination. I have tried seemingly every shaving cream, gel, and oil available, and I have settled on the King of Shaves alpha oil. It is an excellent product - no lather mess to clean up, protects well against razor burn, and the little bottle lasts a long, long time. I am a 33 year old man and have been shaving since I was 16. I have been cursed with the genes to allow for full beard to grow-in in about a week, but with skin that gets irritaded by the slightest razor burn. I have tried numerous different products including gels, hot foam, electrics of all types with no success until finding the King of Shaves products. The oils are the perfect product and size for the traveler. I have yet to be dissapointed by any of the products I have tried from this company.Customer Review: Not Bad, Not Wonderful

I tried this after reading very positive reviews. I use shaving oil along with shaving soap, it makes shaving much better. This product worked just fine, it's like many others I've tried, I just didn't see anything special about it. My favorite is Lab Series, perhaps a little more expensive but the container is larger, and there is a big difference in performance. Leaving Lab Series out, I don't think I could necessarily name a better shaving oil than this one.
