This product does exactly what it promises to do: it stiffens your hair so it will "bristle" and stand up, which is why it is perfect for Flat Tops. This is especially helpful if you have hair that is fine and soft. As indicated on the label, this product is specifically designed for really short hair. If you have hair that is more than 1 1/2 inches in length, it will make your hair look oily. This should not be used as spiking glue! Lucky Tiger contains not only wax but also petrolatum, so it does stay in your hair. It will wash completely out after two or three shampoos, or to get the job done more quickly, you can use a mild dishwashing liquid.
I have tried a few other waxes and pomades, and so far this one seems to be the winner for me. What I especially like about Lucky Tiger is that it has a very slight fragrance which is almost undetectable once you put it in your hair. Most of the hair gels and pomades that are on the market today are very heavily perfumed to the point of being overpowering.
The only negative thing I can say about Lucky Tiger is the same thing that other reviewers have already brought up, and that is its small size. The postage and handling costs more that the product itself. In spite of the small jar, though, it does last a long time, since you only need to use a little bit at a time.
