Customer Reviews of Lansinoh 20265 Disposable Nursing Pads, 60-packCustomer Review: If it's not broken, why try to fix it?! Summary: 1 Stars
I loved, LOVED these nursing pads.
Before they "improved" upon them (as mentioned by another reviewer).
The size is now slightly smaller. The folded pads now "stick" together at the seams, making unfolding them much more difficult (especially with one hand). The placement of absorbant material is also not continuous within the pad anymore - making leaks much more of a possibility.
If I change them regularly throughout the day (which I never had to do before), I can avoid leaking - but leaks are an almost nightly occurrance when sleeping.
The only benefit to these that I can see is the extra adhesive patch for securing the pads to clothing. I'm stuck with 4 boxes because I used to love these so much I ordered in bulk. I'm hoping Lansinoh will take some of the negative feedback to heart and change back to the original design...these WERE the best pads on the market.
Customer Review: Smells of chemicals and looks lumpy under my shirt Summary: 1 Stars
These pads are very disappointing. The plastic that each individual pad is wrapped in (what a waste!) smells horrible and makes the pad and therefore my breast smell of chemicals. Not something I feel particularly comfortable exposing my son to. The pleats make the pad look lumpy under my shirt. There is no contour for your nipple, mine tend to get smooshed under the pad. Much prefer the J&J pads, those don't smoosh my nipple because they have an extra convex area for the nipple (which at first I thought was silly until I tried these and then I missed having that feature). A ziplock bag works just as well as individually wrapped pads, plus it doesn't create as much waste because you can reuse the same bag (and it doesn't make the pad smell funky).
Overall, poor design and poor packaging. I'm sorry I bought these in bulk, strongly recommend just buying a box and trying them out for yourself first.
Customer Review: DITTO!! Best pads ever!! SOO THIN!! Summary: 5 Stars
When I was pregnant with my daughter I was new to the whole breastfeeding thing. I bought these on a whim, not knowing much about them. I got them when I got the lanolin (REALLY GREAT TOO!!!). The first thing I noticed were they were soo thin! You can wear them and not look like a fool in public! WITH A WHITE T-SHIRT ON! They hold tons, the little suckers get heavy when you take em out to replace, and they never once leaked out on my shirts. I had a few friends that used the cotton washable ones, and besides saving the environment, they didn't help anyone! They always leaked, and it looks silly to have wet spots in that area! lol I bought some for them and they quickly switched. Its a total MUST HAVE even if your not going to breast feed full time, it gets you over the engorgement period very well and without embarrasment!
Customer Review: Best Disposable Nursing Pad I've Tried Summary: 4 Stars
The Lansinoh Disposable Nursing Pads are the best I have tried. I have tried the Gerber and Medela brand.
In my opinion, Gerber was the worst as it beaded up like what is in a disposable diaper and it tore easily if it passed a cetain soaking point. A bit dangerous, if you don't notice it and by some minute chance it is around the baby to swallow.
Medela was a bit better, as it didn't have the beads. The liner feels more papery (but won't tear like Gerber's), but I think that affects the absorbancy.
The Lansinoh brand also doesn't have that bead-effect. The liner feels more cloth like, especially when wet, and seems like it is moisturized to the touch. I have found that the Lansinoh brand absorbs more.
Customer Review: Best on the Market Summary: 5 Stars
After trying Gerber, Avent, Medela I finally found these and wondered to myself where they had been all my life!I was sick of waking up in the middle of the night, drenched it milk, sick of those embarassing wet spots that only seemed to occur while out in public, and sick of smelling like sour milk because of a leaking accident. These pads cured all of my ailments! Firstly, they are large pads so if you have big breasts you don't have to worry about proper coverage. They are very discreet, no one will see anything bulging under your shirt. They are effective, they hold up to 3 ounces of milk and I have NEVER had a leak in these pads. I would definitely recommend these pads to anyone, they go above and beyond every other nursing pad on the market.
