As a mom of a 30 weeker preemie I have been and will continue to do a lot of pumping and storing breast milk. I started out using the bags that I got for free at the NICU, but they were such a hassle to try to seal them with a piece of tape.
These are the best that I have found. They are the most expensive, but definately worth it. The NICU has a double bagging policy for all the milk that they use, but they made an exception for me since these bags work so well.
They are so sturdy. They fill and pour easily. The plastic is very thick to prevent freezer burn. They have a double seal that prevents leaking.
For me, breast milk is too valuable to be skimping on cheap bags. A great investment!

I have been freezing leftover of my milk for three months. When I first fed my son thawed milk from a bag the moment it touched his tongue he screemed and spit it out. I tried to mix it half and half with fresh milk and still same result. I thought maybe he is just picky but I tasted the milk and it was awful. It twas very different from the fresh stuff all I could taste was a strong flavor of plastic.
I tried the Avent storage bottles and he gulped down the whole bottle. I wish I knew this to begin with. It would have saved me the heartbreaking moment of tossing three months worth of frozen milk to the trash can.
One star only because it has to be rated on the scale of 1-5.

I've used them since I've gone back to work to store breast milk. They're great. I like the double zip, tissue-like dispense pack design and most importantly the tab for writing the date of expression and volume is separate (easy to read and will not bleed through). They allow me to freeze flat. The only slight disappointment is that it does not fit exactly in the freezer storage box I have (the sides are a little crunched) but I can still use them in it. I know other reviewers have lamented the accuracy of the volume; but it you stand it up on it's bottom so it can stand on its own (carefully of course, it is liquid gold!) it's pretty accurate. I'd say about 1/3 of my bags leak. I've lost so much bmilk thawing out the baggies...enough to make any mom cry after all that hard work. I loved the bags going in b/c of the double ziplock on the top. I couldn't be more disappointed with this product now and will never use it again. It doesn't matter if we froze them flat, froze them "fat", froze in clumps with other bags, or froze them individually. Leaks, leaks, leaks. it doesn't matter if I thaw slowly in warm water, in hot water, at room temperature, or thaw in the fridge at its own pace. Leaks, leaks, leaks. So very disappointing, especially after investing in a deep freezer to hold everything.Customer Review: Way better than Medela bags!

For five months I was using the Medela bags because I didn't take the time to see what else was out there. I'm SO glad I found the Lasinoh bags! They are not only half the price of the Medela bags here on Amazon (I use about 30 bags a week so the savings really adds up) but I think the quality is much better. I've been using them for a month and the double ziplock hasn't failed me yet - I was getting at least one leaky bag a week with Medela. They're even easier to write on! My only teeny tiny issue is that they don't fit perfectly into my little milk storage bag freezer container but I just fold over the top and it works out.
