Customer Review: Not as good as Medela bags

After using both Medela bags and Lansinoh bags, I have to say that Medela worked much better. Lansinoh bags seem thin and flimsy, I can never get them to stay upright in the refrigerator or freezer, unlike Medela bags. They also seem to tear easily and have leaked when thawed. There is also no way to pump directly into the bag using the medela pump unlike Medela bags that come with little tape that allows you to attach it to the shield so you can pump into the bag instead of in a bottle. I would highly recommend the Medela bags that are sturdy, can stay upright easily and don't leak.Customer Review: Beware of Leaks

I purchased these bags because they were cheaper than the others and I liked the idea of the double zipper at the top; however, I have quickly discovered that it's not the leaks from the top that I need to worry about, it's the leaks from other parts of the bag. Three out of the past five times I have defrosted milk in these bags they have leaked due to holes in the bag (twice from holes on the side and once from a hole in the bottom).
I would not recommend purchasing these bags, or, if you do, thaw them in a cup or bowl so that you do not lose your valuable milk.

These are my favorite out of the bags that I have tried - they are the only ones with a double zip lock seal and they state that they are made out of the thickest plastic which certainly seems true. To the previous poster that didn't like how hard it was to stand them up in the freezer - they are made to be frozen laying flat, so that is probably why :)
The tab on the outside is also the easiest for writing on, which doesn't sound like a big deal but it's really annoying when the only pen you have doesn't write on the bag at 4AM in the employee bathroom!

I used 3 different kinds of storage bags (first time mom, decided to do my own little test). Dr. Brown's bags are the best, never leaked, accurate measurements, then Gerber bags, accurate measurements when you stretch out bag. The lansinoh bags are horrible!! I weaned after 8 months. I thawed my precious milk for my baby and nearly every lansinoh bag leaked causing me to have to throw out my breastmilk I worked so hard pumping to save for him after I weaned. DO NOT BUY THESE. Save your money and buy the Dr. Brown's bags.Customer Review: No problems here!

I read the reviews before I purchased, and I saw the ones that said these bags leaked, but I was willing to try them anyway as most reviews were positive. I don't know if the other purchasers got defective bags, or they didn't use them properly, but I've used around 100 or more of these so far and haven't had a single problem with leakage. I've gently thawed in the refrigerator and more aggressively by placing in a bowl of hot water. Assuming the quality stays up, I will continue to use them for this child, and for my next.
