Customer Review: Leaked upon defrosting

At first, I thought these bags were great. However, after making the time to pump everyday for months, I found that 75% of these bags leaked upon defrosting. The seams on the edge of the bags split (or had holes), and my precious breastmilk leaked all over the fridge over and over again. I do not have a recomendation for a better product, but if you are considering using these or if you are currently using these, I would consider something else . I used the Lansinoh bags to store my milk- placing them in a deep freeze. The upsides were that they were cheaper and easy to use. However, when thawing most of the bags they would leak all over. I would lose at least 1 to 2 precious ounces each time I would thaw a bag. For all the work that nursing moms have to go through in order to put milk in storage this is horrific. I had much better luck thawing other brands, stay away from these if you want to actually use your milk!Customer Review: Best I've Used

These are the best milk storage bags I've used. I've used the medela ones in the past and I did not like them at all.
They still make a bit of a mess for me but I imagine thats going to happen when you put liquid in a bag. I've got a freezer packed and dated with milk. They are easy to pour into (its the out that can be a bit messy), easy to clearly date and mark and over all if I had to recommend milk storage to anyone I would recommend these.

The only tip I have is to open the bag up a little more then just the top when you're pouring your milk in...otherwise you could spill some of that precious gold...(but that's not the bag's fault) ;)
I have had really good luck with these bags, they dont' leak, they allow you to lay them flat so it takes up less room in the freezer...you can feel the thickness compared to other bags...I just feel these are quality!!! Over all GREAT BAGS!!! :)

It's happened a couple of times that these bags leaked while thawing. I am extremely careful with them as the milk is too precious to spill so it's not carelessness. Bags have even leaked just sitting in the fridge, in a plastic container. I now put every milk bag into a ziploc bag for 'safety'. I don't trust these bags anymore and will only use the first years bags, they have proven to be much sturdier so far and are more acurate in the ounces.
