Customer Review: Nothing new but a classic in its own

I also have never thought too highly of this fragrance in the past, as some of the other reviewers, it is pretty simple. It is very easy to categorize & stereotype this fragrance in the aromatic citrus genre, which has been played out to death since inception of Aqua Di Gio. However, with that said, it isn't L'Eau D'Issey's fault. L'Eau De Issey was introduced to us before every one went the citrus aromatic route. This is probably the-e-e original fresh scent from the 90s and the best of the bunch when compared side by side. I ask that you try Bellagio, Aqua Di Gio, and L'Eau D'Issey side by side. Yes, they have similarities however Issey Miyake's take is simply more refined, natural (herbal), well balanced, least offensive, and arguably the longest lasting fresh scent (I get 16hrs on my skin). Add to that its a mega compliment getter and you have a formula for success. The only downside to this fragrance, depending on where you live, is that because of its popularity, everyone may know what you're wearing.
Although I was never a fan of this juice, after retrying it recently with an open mind, and after experiencing many other wannabe's throughout the years, I have to say that this is definitely one of the best fresh scents to date which is versatile enough to wear any time of the year and works well as a signature scent. Yes, it is a safe scent but it is done very, very well...not much to complain about, really.

I've used this scent for almost a decade and I've never been disappointed in its ability to impress. Every time I hug a lady, there's always compliments. It's a wonderful thing. Scent/smell lingers on the mind and invokes the memory when revisited in the future and this will make her never forget. Therefore, you must use this scent wisely. =)
Whenever I'm asked what this scent is, I respond and they're always baffled at my answer, mainly because they don't know what language I'm answering in. French? Japanese? It always takes a little bit of explanation. Regardless, the looks on their faces when you explain says everything about the scent. It makes people daydream. Why would she want to know why a Japanese guy chose a French influence on his scent? She's just thinking about how beautiful the scent is. Guaranteed to get you future hugs, unless you're repulsive.
Bottom line, this is an exquisite scent. Not too brash or overpowering. Like a sexy breath of fresh air. Lingers for just as long as you need. 100% recommended if you want to get close with your companion.

I received my fragrance and was at first surprised with how the capping worked. The large top came off and another plastic cover was fixed closely to the bottle. This plasic cover showed sings of a melted substance. This plastic cover was actually the base of the cap. The melted substance might have been glue, but it might have been fragrance that leaked under pressure. The paint job on the outside of the bottle appears sharp at a distance and was close to a nice job, but had a few extra paint splotches.
I'm a fan of this fragrance (from a sampler I received once). The fragrance smells great, but I'd like to compare it to an in-store version.
I'm tending to believe I received an authentic product that was cheap becaues it was heat damaged, but I could be convinced otherwise.

I've been wearing L'eau D'issey for over ten years and I still love it, so has every woman whom I've dated. I still receive compliments to this day of how nice I smell when wearing it. I'll occasionally try a new cologne but I always revert back to L'eau D'issey as it has a nice clean scent that's not heavy or overbearing. This is the second time I've ordered via Amazon (two at a time) and I didn't have a problem with the product in either case. I was a little worried about buying through Amazon again after reading some of the reviews (complaints from customers receiving fake or products that were tampered with) but since I had a good experience the first time, I decided to take my chances and I'm glad that I did.Customer Review: L'Eau D'Issey by Miyake Review

L'Eau D'Issey is classified as a citrus/fruity fragrance for men. However it lingers heavier on the citrus/sour side, ironically resembling Bellagio for men. While it might be desirable to those who like notes of citrus and spice, its far from anything special. In my opinion the upper notes are a little too strong and the dry down isn't that much better. Before you waste fifty dollars try a sample or purchase a vial. This cologne won't appeal to everyone, and if you're going to spend that much get Armani Code instead.
