Customer Review: Hard to know, but makes me feel better

If you are reading this I am assuming you are perplexed about lice. I sure am. 3 months ago I saw an adult louse crawling down my daughters forehead (5 years). I immediately put olive oil on her head. I then panicked and got Rid, which I later regretted after reading how bad it is for you and possibly lice resistant.
I followed my own comb out method religiously. Every other day I combed my daughters hair with a metal lice comb. In addition, I spent hours in natural sunlight removing nits. My daughter has very blond hair so I needed the sun.
One thing I would like to say is that I brought my daughter to the Dr. to get checked and the Dr said she was fine. In addition, the "nitty nurse" at school didn't detect anything. However, I found 20+ nits in her hair in the sun. I could not see them under my regular house lighting.
After 3 months, I thought we were in the clear. Today, I saw something in her hair and my husband grabbed it and put it in a baggy and sure enough it was a louse/or a nymph. It was smaller than the one I saw 3 months ago. It's hard to know if it's a new infestation, however my daughter is in kindergarten and after school care with lots of kids.
This time I am using LiceFree on her and myself since we recently slept in the same bed and snuggled. I did not see live or dead lice on my daughter after combing through the treatment, which by the way requires adding conditioner. I am hoping it works and I will continue the follow up treatments.
One thing I will say is the comb is not good, so I recommend buying a good metal comb separately.
All in all, avoid products with pesticides. Whether it's olive oil, cetaphil, lice free, or just conditioner and combing out, I think you just need to be consistent and persistent. But, then again, this is coming from someone with a reinfestation. :)
