Customer Review: Good Idea, Poor Execution
Summary: 2 Stars

I saw the Listerine commercials boasting these new whitening strips. Unlike the infamous Crest WhiteStrips, these are supposed to dissolve while still on your teeth, adding convience and ease into the factor. A coupon came in the mail for these strips and I decided to check them out.

I opened the container and attempted to apply it to the upper teeth. One thing I noticed is that there is no way to keep the strip from attracting to your lips or fingers in the process. The Crest WhiteStripes have a small sliver of plastic that solves this, however these Listerine Whitening strips do not. I found it extremely difficult just to apply these strips to my teeth. After many tries I finally did get two strips on my teeth. And I wasted many strips trying to do so. Another issue with these strips is that they do dissolve. Dissolve tons of nasty whitening solution in your mouth. Of course this would be expected, but Listerine claims that the taste is of clean mint. To me it tasted like a cheap brand of mint bubblegum.

After a few days of using this product, I did see some minor improvement as far as how white my teeth where.

After trying these strips, I would definitely recommend the Crest version. While these claim being more convienent, the difficulities in apply the strip and the aftertaste make this product much less useful.

Customer Review: IT REALLY WORKS
Summary: 4 Stars

i bought this product because it was almost a full 10 dollars cheaper than crest white strips and so far my experience is great.
1) this is my 5th day and my teeth are noticeably whiter....NOT PERFECT....but MUCH whiter than ever before. i have used them twice a day for the most part, one in the morning, one at night. sometimes i forgot the night one though.
2) they do foam/dissolve but the strip doesn't disappear i often just take a tissue to get the gunk off my teeth after 20 minutes, or just brush my teeth. its not THAT inconvenient where i would stop using these though
3)they are so easy to open and put on, you just need to make sure your teeth are dry and you open your mouth wide enough.i've seen a lot of reviews where they say they have tragic experiences with opening the little pouches or putting them on and getting them stuck. FALSE. anyone can easily use these.
4) THEY DONT HURT YOUR GUMS, this is my 5th day and i havent felt ANY pain. maybe once my tooth felt a little sensitive but that lasted like 30 minutes. As long as you apply it to the tooth only (for the most part) you should be OK too!!

GET THEM AND TRY THEM. they are cheaper than crest and Listerine has a great name for mouth-care products. they wont disappoint you and you'll save some extra bucks!

Customer Review: I love them!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

After years of grudgingly using Crest Whitestrips, I bought a box of these and am thrilled. While both are effective for me, I love the convenience of sticking these on my teeth and going on with my life. Since they stay in place, I can have conversations or run errands or go to sleep without any problems. The taste is acceptable (much better than the Whitestrips), and the gooey residue doesn't bother me. It takes 20-25 minutes for mine to dissolve, which is still shorter than the 30 minutes I kept the uncomfortable Whitestrips in. In less than a week, my noticeably whiter teeth have already elicited positive comments.

I have had no problems with the strips sticking to my hands or anything except my teeth. Although the strips can be a bit challenging to remove from the package, I have not had to resort to scissors yet.

If you have the patience and persistence for at-home whitening, I recommend that you give this product a try! I don't normally write reviews, but since I base many of my purchasing decisions on Amazon user reviews, I thought I would share my positive experience with this product.

Customer Review: I'll never go back to Crest Whitestrips
Summary: 5 Stars

Like many people posting here, I had used Crest Whitestrips for a long time. Because I was pleased with the results, I tolerated the unpleasant "extra" bleaching gel that would leak out beyond my teeth onto my gums. But I would never have left the house wearing them, and didn't like removing the slimy plastic strip when I was finished.
These are GREAT--they go on "dry" and adhere well if you follow the directions. You can't see them in the mirror once they're on, and my teeth are every bit as white as with Crest--even though Listerine strips are much less expensive.
There is a risk of putting them in backwards, but after you make the mistake once you're unlikely to do it again.
As to the problem of strips tearing when you open the packet, I've found if you use scissors and cut across the short end of the rectangle, you can pull open the packet that way with no risk of tearing.
Finally--because they dissolve in under ten minutes and (at least for me) cause less gum irritation than Crest strips, I find I can use several strips a day--so full results take less than a week rather than two.

Customer Review: Best So Far
Summary: 5 Stars

Overall, the product is excellent and would get a 9 out of 10 for me. (If you take it out of 5, 4.5 rounds up). Crest whitestrips don't even stack up to these, in my opinion. Crest whitestrips leave that nasty taste, along with nasty goo, in your mouth (if you've used them, you know what I'm talking about). These, while not tasting like a great fresh piece of gum, taste more like a plasticky mint. It's not a bad taste, and a whole heck of a lot better than the taste of any other whitening product I've used (including the expensive stuff you get from the dentist). Also, though these do not dissolve COMPLETELY, and do leave a sort of residue, it's nothing like the mess Crest Whitestrips leave when you're finished with them. Unlike the other products, the Listering Whitening strips did not leave my teeth feeling sensitive. They work just as well as any other over the counter whitening treatment.I feel that the little bit of residue left behind is well worth the benefits of this product.(Taste, convenience, sensitivity, and how well they work).
