Customer Reviews of Listerine Whitening-Instant Dissolving Whitening Strips, 56 Strips (Short Dated)Customer Review: Waste of time and money Summary: 1 Stars
I agree with all the reviews that say these are difficult to use!
I was a fan of crest whitestrips and then the stuff that you paint on your teeth with a brush. I decided to try these since they were on sale.
They are hard to open (I did need scissors)
They are hard to see once you do finally get the wrapper open.
The directions make no sense.
They stick to everywhere before you can get them on your teeth and once you finally get the hang of getting them on, you have wasted like 5 strips.
Even if you do get them on right sometimes your bottom/top lips dissolve them before they even get a chance to start whitening your teeth (some people just have more saliva)
You def have to brush/rinse when your done and sometimes the strip does not fully dissolve!
Stick with whitestrips!
Customer Review: Easy-to-use but leave a film on teeth Summary: 2 Stars
The Listerine Whitening strips are pretty simply to use. You line up the strips with your gumline and fold the left-over strip behind the teeth. I'm also guessing they do whiten your teeth, but I didn't use them long enough to find out.
The thing I could't get past with the strips is that, as they dissolve, they leave a film on your teeth that makes your teeth feel unclean. I thought it would go away after 10-15 minutes, because that's how long they say the strips take to dissolve on average. But 30 minutes after I put them on my teeth, the film was still on my teeth. I finally had to brush my teeth to get it off, and even using my electric toothbrush, I had to brush a couple of times.
The strips may work, but I just didn't like the way the film made my teeth feel.
Customer Review: IT WORKS! Summary: 5 Stars
At first I was skeptical, as read some negs along with some pros. The negs were mainly on the product handling. But the price and ease of wear were very convincing and important to me. Well, I decided to give it a try. Instructions are super easy, just follow two illustrations. I just cut the foil with scissors on three sides, look for the bright strip on one side of the foil. Beginning on a corner, I remove it and handle it quickly but carefully, looking for the side with a notch. Then match to upper or lower teeth, according to illustrations. Then I look in a mirror displaying my teeth while placing the strip, and voila! That's it. Result: It came out great from the first time, and in just a few days I was already seeing awesome results. WOW! I recommend this product to anyone. IT WORKS!
Customer Review: it is OKAY, but not the best. Summary: 3 Stars
Even thought this product advertises that there are no clean up needed as it dissolves in your mouth, I would never do that since it smells pretty disgusting. The best thing to describe the smell would be something close to sour mustard. So for me personally I don't swallow it just hold it in my mouth for 10-20 minutes and brush it of later. It you do brush it off, make sure you get everything off. Eating with this after taste can ruin anything you're eating, it's hard to ignore the taste. Anyways this strip DOES do the job, but very gradually. The bottom line is to NOT expect any miracles, I noticed some teeth have somewhat different result as the others. For example for me the canine teeth had the most significant results, while the other ones whitened very little, or is still the same.
Customer Review: More or less a disappointment... Summary: 2 Stars
I'm not exactly sure what it was that inspired me to choose dissolving strips as opposed to the regular ones, but I won't be making the mistake again. Opening the packaging and applying the strips is a little tricky, enough so that you will probably destroy a few strips on accident. Next the taste is not the clean mint they promise, rather it's the the same nasty hydrogen peroxide taste of any other strip. But by far the worst part is that the strips do not dissolve at all like promised; rather they leave a thick, slimy residue on your teeth; compared to keeping a removable whitening strip on your teeth, these are worse. Lastly, I did not notice a whole lot of whitening; there was a little improvement, but certainly not enough to justify the expense or time. I do not recommend them.
