When I received my package in the mail, I was SHOCKED. It was a tiny bottle, just a tiny bottle, and nothing else. Most eyelash serums tend to be larger or at least have something to apply the oil with. I felt kind of ripped off, to be honest. $15 dollars seemed an awful lot to pay for a small bottle of oil.
Then I looked at the package, which looked pretty phony to me. There isn't even an official brand that manufactures and sells this stuff on the label. So I was a bit reluctant and scared to try it out. I'm also a bit angry not knowing where they got this stuff from and why it costs so much.
And then when I finally got to trying it out, it gave my eyes this icky feeling where my vision was blurred for at least 10 minutes! The feeling eventually went away, but it was extremely irritating.
Now to the actual usefulness of the eyelash oil, I've used it for a week so far and noticed a tiny increase in the length of my eyelashes. I'll have to wait to see how useful this product really is, but for now, there really isn't any big difference, and I will update.
So, if you would like to spend $15 dollars on a tiny phony looking bottle that might irritate your eyes without really knowing whether the results are genuine, go ahead. I feel kind of cheated out of my money. I read one buyer's feedback, who said that when they received the oil, that there was a sticker on the bottom of the bottle with a price of $2.94 and that there was a dead bug inside the lid. Now that just disgusted me when I read it, but I realized my product was already shipped. I'm sure Rush Industries has improved its products within the past 12 months, but $2.94?! WHAT a ripoff!!!
Update: Yes, it is definitely a ripoff price-wise since you can make this stuff on your own for 5 dollars. There's a youtube video that gives you the ingredients and directions and all. But I guess it did work to make my eyelashes longer. They don't look like false lashes or anything, which was what I had expected after the positive review, but maybe that's because I haven't used the product long enough? I've used it for a month and really hope I can see big results within another month.
