This was a huge disappointment. I needed something that would last beyond 20 minutes, and this not only didn't last 5 minutes, but I didn't like the aroma and my husband couldn't smell it at ALL. I doused myself with it and got right in his face....NOTHING!
I even tried layering another perfume on top of it, but it seemed to kill that perfume, too.
I have tried this in stores and liked it, so I'm pretty sure the bottle I got was beyond it's shelf life. Unfortunately, I had destroyed all the packaging in the labor to get it open, or I'd have returned it immediately. Lessons learned. Try to open it gently (impossible), and KEEP everything. If you don't get a good bottle, put everything in a box and ship it back IMMEDIATELY.
I think this is my first negative review.
Customer Review: Differences in department store bottles and amazon bottles

I tried this fragrance at a department store in our mall and wore it around for a day or so, never faded and smelled wonderful. I bought the same stuff from Amazon because hey, it was cheaper. Well, after wearing the product for about a month, I can really say that the department store smell and the one I get from Amazon are different. The department bottle smells the same going on, but throughout the day, the department one lasted longer and it turned into a subtle amber smell at the end of the day and I could still smell it when I woke up the next, while the one from Amazon doesn't stay on throughout the day, and the smell never really changes. I originally bought the smell because I liked how it smelled in the evening... I guess I'm stuck with scent #1 until the bottle is empty.Customer Review: Product has changed: diluted with alcohol

When I got the spray (Jessica Parker's "Lovely" perfume spray, Lovely Sarah Jessica Parker for Women 3.4 Eau De Parfume Spray I noticed it was a different color than one I had, e.g. slightly orange like and not the pink tinge of the original one. In smelling I noticed that the one recently ordered had a definite alcohol smell, whereas the original I had did not. What a shame. I am sure this was to cut costs and hoping customers woulod not notice. Well I did and will not buy again...what a shame because it HAS BEEN my favorite. I always liked the fragrance Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker when it first came out. I remember first smelling it, spraying some on myself, and not being able to stop sniffing my wrist. It's THAT good! The only problem was, it's fairly expensive in the stores. If you don't want to spend at least $60 on a perfume, shopping on amazon.com is the way to go. You save a lot of money for the exact same perfume. How to describe the fragrance? Lovely smells like something soft, alluring, and sexy all at once. You can wear it for any occasion, from something casual to more formal, dressier events. It's a light, fresh scent with a lovely, lingering aura. I use this product daily. I have never found a scent that I love like this one. I use it as an all purpose body lotion. I have people stop me in the malls and ask me what the scent is. Never have I enjoyed a scent like this one. LOVE< LOVE< LOVE IT!!!!
