You know Like may others I got this because of everyone saying how much they loved it. And I was looking for a more grown up smell. Sadly I HATED IT! it smells to peppery when you first spray it for one. And its really reminds me of old women or a bingo hall. Even when it dries down I still think it smells gross. I own the new SJP NYC perfume and love that one. I think this one was made popular because of Orpah (shame on you..lol) Now Im stuck with a smell I wont be able to wear til im 70.Customer Review: A truly lovely fragrance

I was looking for something soft, elegant, and suitable for both day and evening wear. This fragrance is perfect! It's warm and cozy and subtle. I do not like overly strong floral or fruity fragrances, and Lovely is certainly not one of those obnoxious scents that overwhelms the room. I've gotten a lot of compliments.
My only complaint might be that it's a bit TOO subtle, but that's probably a good thing. I'll just reapply if I'm going out again in the evening.

i was struggling for a vday gift, i bought one at a local dept store for $80, amazon couldn't 2nd day this b/c it's liquid. I returned this one to the store and the barcodes matched.
there were two barcoes and while the UPC was the same the second barcode was a different color and differnet number of numeric digits. Amazon.com, not second hand sellers, sells lots of fake cologne as real, but this one served my purposes just fine. thanks amazon.

Lovely is at first spicy with hints of delicate orchid and paper whites. Then the honey sweet scent mellows into an evocative warmth with hints of hugs and memories of corsages at weddings. There is something beautifully comforting yet altogether mysterious. Musk and Lavender give this fragrance a warm confidence while the mingling of precious essential oils creates a classically poetic blend of refined nuances.

Aren't we all just a little sick of smelling like a grocery store? I never could understand all the fruit and vegetable scents and then they came out with vanilla cookie, pumpkin pie, gingerbread...I've gained five pounds just smelling perfumes!
Lovely, on the other hand, is aptly named. It's a beautiful, feminine scent designed for the female that desires an aura of sophistication and beauty. And you won't be mistaken for a fruit salad!
