This is a classic fragrance, not your overpowering J-Lo, B'Spears, etc. I wish I could explain the scent...but it is tough to describe. It isn't fruity or flowery. Perhaps a bit of lavendar though? Basically, you don't overpower a room with it. It has a bit of an "old-world"-ness to it...but as far as I am concerned, that is a wonderful thing. I am a 31 year old professional, I wear it daily and out at night, and I just love it.

A friend was wearing this recently and several of us asked her what it was. I normally don't wear perfume because it will usually gives me a headache. I went to Dillards to try a sample to see if my body chemistry worked with it and I LOVE it. I could even smell a faint whiff the next day before my shower. Very long lasting, light and fresh smelling like you've just taken a shower. Hope my husband found some for me as most stores were sold out.Customer Review: excellent fragrance

I love this frgarance, not only is it long lasting , but it's different , It doesn't smell like everything that everyone wears lately.
It has an original scent.
I truly recommend it if you like dry not flowery fragrances.
the body lotion is also very nice, a great complement to the perfume.
try it and let it dry, on your skin, see how it changes and truns into a wonderful scent.

I saw on Oprah the intro of LOVELY with Sarah J. Parker. I ordered and was not disappointed. It's very feminine. It's a light scent, but it does leave one wanting another whiff. The bottle is a little tricky to hold but it's a beautiful bottle. I have worn BEAUTIFUL only by Estee Lauder for years, but am now alternating between LOVELY and BEAUTIFUL. This was an anniversary present. My wife tried a couple of top brands and this one was great on her skin. Smells great and lasts long. Now she (me too) likes this perfume a lot.
Its very true that individual results vary. You cannot buy this because my rating is 5. My suggestion is to shortlist few and then try it out in a store and then buy from Amazon.
