Customer Review: Ok product but not the best

This was the first Lucuma powder I tried after hearing that it was a healthy, tasty addition to smoothies, which I make all the time. When I got it I thought it was only ok tasting and didn't get what the fuss was about. But I recently picked up another bag from Earth Shift Products at a David Wolfe talk I attended. Wow, what a difference. The new bag of Lucuma is sweeter, richer, and much better all around than this stuff which I have a whole bag of and don't really like.
I have bought other Raw Food World Products that I didn't like also such as some Camu Camu powder that is almost inedible it is so bitter and some raw dried Mangos that I threw half of the bag out because they were dry, white and crumbly. How does a mango become white and crumbly? The Mangos on the visible part of the bag were orange and normal. The Camu Camu and the Mangos I bought at a booth at the Longevity Conference. You would think they would have their best products there. This Lucuma I got through Amazon. I will get a different brand next time. I wanted to like the products because I like Matt and Angela Monarch and their contributions to Raw Food as a movement, but I didn't.

This exotic Peruvian fruit (pronounced "loo-ku-mah?) was once known as the "Gold of the Incas". It has strong fragrance and a full-bodied maple like flavor with a firm and rich pumpkin-like pulp that is orange and yellow in color. The fruits are an excellent source of carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins and minerals?including remarkable concentrations of beta-carotene, niacin and iron. The Lucuma fruit has been honored both spiritually and culinarily since ancient times in the Peruvian culture.
