I researched this and other products for my dad. He needed help getting into the tub. He wanted the suction cup rail. After reading about them I wanted something secure. I saw the metal ones but I didn't think they would be good if it was wet. I found this and he loves it. He installed it himself! He has his toilet next to the tub and uses this to help him get up. It was worth every dollar!
Description of Lumex 16 Inch Bathtub Safety Bar - Tub Grab Bar - No Tools Clamp - Tall
No Tools! Added safety for entering and exiting the tub. This bathtub safety rail helps prevent accidents in the bathroom. They are ergonomically designed for a comfortable, secure grip. Clamping mechanism securely attaches the rails to the tub and adjusts from 2 to 6 . The Tall Safety Rail extends 16.5 above the tub rim and weighs 2 1/2lbs. Textured, contoured handle provides a good gripping surface. Clamp holds firmly to tub wall without marring tub surface. Lightweight, compact design is excellent for travel. Color: White. Fits tubs with walls 2 "- 6 " thick. Not recommended for use with fiber glass tubs.
