These bars mount with a bracket that fits under the toilet seat bolts. So easy my wife hooked it altogether her self. We have two bath rooms so I bought two. The price was less than renting for two months and it looks like I will be needing them for many months after my surgery. They are a little loose where the tubes slide together but not a big deal. They do require a minimum of 3 inches clearance on each side of the toilet. You would be hard pressed to find a better deal.
