Customer Reviews of Luna Bars, 1.69-Ounce Bars

Customer Review: Great taste, great nutrition. Beware of the nutrition label!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is something I have been looking for a long time. It's very tasty and really good for you. Now, I understand some comments here describing it as a little medicine/protein like. I believe those comments are by people who have never actually tried protein/nutrition candy. Luna bar far exceeds in taste quality any other bar on the market I have tried (and there had been many). I found that this unwanted flavor is absent in Caramel Nut Brownie, Raspberry Chocolate, and S'mores.

One comment: the nutrition facts are not precise. This is not a 48g bar, it is actually 52g (I weighed many bars, that is the average). This means, that Caramel Nut Brownie has not 190 kcal, but approximately 205 kcal.

Customer Review: I like LUNA Bars, just not BERRY ALMOND...
Summary: 1 Stars

I was sold on Luna Bars when I tried my first one from a grocery store: Lemon. Yum! Who could want a candy bar with a health bar tasting like that! Not so with all flavors. Berry Almond tastes like grape jam mixed with half-cooked oatmeal. That is the texture and color of what it would look like as well. My hubby loves it but I can't stand the flavor, I literally gag. It's obviously a preference thing but I had to leave the box of bars sitting out where they'd be eaten up instead of keeping them in my "health-food stash" I use before I go running. Yuck. I do recommend Luna Bars, however, just buy one before buying an entire box so you can find your favorite flavor. :)

Customer Review: Delicious, better than Lara bars!
Summary: 5 Stars

I grabbed one of these (the caramel nut brownie flavor) at the store a few months ago out of curiosity and I am so glad I did! Sure, they're a little higher in fat than the Lara bar but the taste is definitely better! They're natural/organic and filling. They are 180 calories a bar and the Lara bars are 190. They're also only 3 Weight Watchers points!

As long as you don't eat too many a day, exercise and don't eat a lot of other sweets (if any!) then I'd say get these!

Oh and I'd also like to add that even though they will not really harm men if they eat them, you should really just stick to the equally tasty Cliff counterpart!

Customer Review: Toasted Nuts 'n' Cranberry - Edible But Nothing to Write Home About
Summary: 3 Stars

I tried the Toasted Nuts 'n' Cranberry flavor and was dissapointed. The taste is rather bland and tastes like what you might think of when you think of a health food bar. Hopefully I can find other people on camping, hiking, biking and skiing trips who like these things cause it will take me forever to eat them.

On the other hand, I've tried a bunch of the Clif bars and they've all been awesome. If you are looking for good tasting snack bars for your outdoor adventures or just something to tide you over during the day go with Clif Bars & skip the Luna Bars or at least the Toasted Nuts 'n' Cranberry flavor.

Customer Review: I love Luna Bars!
Summary: 5 Stars

I love these energy bars... they are supposedly made with women's nutrition needs in mind... and I buy them often. They are especially nice to stock up on for in-flight snacking. I stock extras because there are always family members aboard who are hungry and have nothing in their carry-ons. (Even men and boys will eat them, although they will inevitably ask, "will this make me grow breasts?") My favorites are the "Lemon" flavor and the "Chocolate over Nutz." But I've tried them all, and I have yet to find one that isn't yummerz.

Be sure to read the fine print on the package, it will make you smile.
